Panini Gets GI JOE COMIC LICENSE!! Plus cover to issue 1??
« on: November 05, 2008, 06:59:41 PM »

in some way fashion or form Panini has the GI JOE License presumably in Europe so I posted a cover up here

http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/phpBB2/ ... 062#p21062

this is what the artist ( andie tong  ) had to say

Artist's Comments :
thought i'd share this image which i've been finally given the green light to show. i did this piece for panini for a pitch to hasbro to bid for the license to publish a g i joe comic that will coincide with the movie next year. the great news is panini won the bid. so yay! hopefully aside from my spiderman duties, if time permits and my editor agrees, i'll get a chance down the line to maybe dabble in some joe strips. colours by the talented jeremy roberts.

Correct me if I am worng, are there are going to be two G.I.JOE comic books on the market next year with IDW?

If I'm not mistaken there's three. The Larry Hama one, the Chuck Dixon one, and the one with Chuckles.
