Title: Going to Vancouver - any ideas?
Post by: gsmiley007 on March 22, 2005, 04:47:14 PM
Hi

I'm heading off to Vancouver for about a week around easter.  Staying downtown.

What's to do? Any toy stores?

Anybody know how far is it to Seattle?

Seattle is about a 2-3 hour drive from Vancouver.  Not including time wasted at the border.

There isn't much in the downtown area, but I recommend that you go out to Langley, and go to a place called Toy Traders.  You will be blown away!

Downtown Vancouver blows for finding vintage toys.  I have stayed there 4 times on business and found nothing.  Avoid the northeast part of town.

Golden Age collectibles is downtown but they're severely overpriced. Interesting store to check out nonetheless if you're in the area. There's also a shop called Big Pete's. Not sure what he has these days but if you can find it, check it out.

Shane

Yes, golden age has been smoking something pretty bad.

70 for a firefly missing phone
20 for a track viper missing crotch
135 for a complete mobat
70 for a cobra commander with face paint wear and ap gun

Wow, if sold my extra joes for prices like those, I'd be rich

Those guys are criminals. They are the type that give you the collectable story?these are worth this much because?you can not find them?and there are old?and so on! Try selling to them?lol?they pay no more than a two dollars a figure with accessories?that?s what they told me?so some poor sucker that does not know anything sold them for that and then comes back in the store and see some of his figures selling for 50 to 100 each?real good for business!!  :shifty:
