I find the blue a bit much.
Its the first thing I notice and then I notice there are words in gray boxes. This may look different if your planning on putting a lot of images on the page, but right now the background color is to... bold? :- but especially if your planning on putting all your text in black.
Just my two cents.

This is the same layout as Eternity Comics? Is this a second store?

I also find the blue a little much, then with my colour blindness i completely missed the gray writing.
I knew something was their, because it was lighter, but i couldnt tell what it was lol sorry.

Other then that i like the set up and easyness to use cant wait till it opens condor

HJL Collectibles is apart of the Eternity Comics but in the same it is my own site.

What colours are safe in the boards option since I do not really want to go with the standard colours.

I don't mind the blue, it makes everything else stand out.

The blue and grey seem to wash a bit.  Perhaps a darker blue?

This is what is really important:
1. Nice Inventory
2. Good price
3. Great service (fast shipping, helpful when there is a problem, etc.)

It's maybe just me, but I don't even see a difference on my screen between Aqua and Cyan...

IMO, a white background color is always the best...

I like the darker option.  Aqua and Cyan seem the same to me.

Just FYI, the ENTER HERE link is REALLY hard to see.  You'll want to change the colour or add a button background or something.

Can't wait to see it open!

HJL Collectibles looking for testers
« Reply #9 on: July 11, 2009, 07:09:07 PM »

Hi

I am looking for a couple of tester to test my site to find any errors or bugs. If you are interested pm me or email me via the link in my sig line.

After testing, the testers will get a discount code for my site as payment to testing the site.

Thanks,
Hal

After 5 minutes of staring at each tester, there isn't much difference, but the last one doesn't tire my eyes so I'll say it's decent.

Have you ever considered an image mapping for your store, rather than just color? The image can even be grayscaled or of a single tone of color.
