Lou Ferigno ( The Real Incredible Hulk himself ), Jeremy Bullock ( The original Boba Fett from The Empire Strikes Back ) and The Honky Tonk Man will attend to sign autographs.

Visit the official site to find out more:

By the way, I forgot to mention it, but for those who don't know, the show is in the Place Bonaventure and is immediately accessible through the Bonaventure Metro station. So Bus-metro-walking is defintely the way to go if you live in the City.

It's really easy to get there.  I'll be there, that's for sure.  I'll be the brown guy with the Autobot logo t-shirt, the blue backpack, and the brown fedora.

Hey, I'm just curious. Who else is coming to the Montreal Comic Con? Maybe this can be an opportunity for many of us to get some trades moving...

Well, I'm buying a 25th Zap off a buddy of mine when I meet him at con, not sure if that counts!

Anybody else besides Snakes and maybe Scramble? C'mon!

And if you come by, we should have a way of identifying eachother easily. It'd be nice to meet for once if we haven't already.

I'm going to the con, but I don't have anything to trade.  So the most I could do would be to say hi as I rummage through dollar bins.

Depending on the weather, I'll either be wearing a black GI Joe logo sweater or a white Autobot logo t-shirt.

I'll be bringing some Joe parts ( good for customs ), accessories and tons of black figure stands from 1995 and up as well as those from the 1980's accessory packs. I'm always opened to trades, just bring whatever you got that you don't need. I'm doing some customs so if I see anything of interest I'll let you know. I'm majorly into Tiger Force too and I'm seeking for the Tiger Paw and Fish as well as some foreign exclusive figures. And yeah, I'll have a tiny little spot at the show so If you see guys with Joes, I'll definetely be one of them.  :cobra:

Good stuff, I'll check out your stuff on Saturday then!  I don't have stuff to trade because I don't collect things I don't like...  Sorry, mate.

See you at the con!

Guys, just wanted to let you know that I cancelled from selling/trading at the show. How is this possible? Two reasons:

I will still be helping my friend at his table, I just won't bring all my stuff in the end. I'll only have battlestands and a few things but nothing major in case someone asks. So you really have to ask. I will be wearing a black 2009 gi joe convention shirt.

I still hope you can stop by and say Hi!

  • I'm too busy right now with work, so I haven't had time to prepare properly
  • I was never really going to do the show, I was just invited at last minute to share a table with a friend who is a dealer, but I now changed my mind for the first reason

I will still be helping my friend at his table, I just won't bring all my stuff in the end. I'll only have battlestands and a few things but nothing major in case someone asks. So you really have to ask. I will be wearing a black 2009 gi joe convention shirt.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that.  I'll still find ya and greet ya, though!  You wouldn't happen to have any 25th-compatible stands, would you?  Or any 25th stuff?  If not, don't worry about it.  Don't forget to bring some of your Joe comics for Herb Trimpe to sign!

Roger that Mike. Today I'm not in the office as I'm sick ( partly because of the stress also of having to prepare for that show ).

But I can head out later and print them. I'll print out a good number for the first day and see if I need more for the second day.

There are two other shows coming this way. One is the second 2009 bi-annual Toy Con of this year on October 18th, and the other is the first 2010 bi-annual Toy Con, sometime in may, date to be confirmed. Tables are 45$ each! Now, that's a steal.

Their website is:http://site.toysonfire.com/montreal_toy_con/montrealtoycon.html (http://http://site.toysonfire.com/montreal_toy_con/montrealtoycon.html)

Snakes, if you could print some, actually that would help as I won't have to leave the house ( it sucks when you don't feel too good ). Give me an idea how many you can print and bring me the bill if you want since I was willing to print them anyway. I'll PM you to be sure you get this.

I could print some off on my laser printer and cut them in half for you.  I could make about 40 pages, so 80 half-pages.  Would that be okay?

You mentioned that you'd be heading out to get some printed, so I guess my services aren't needed.  If you want me to make some, I'm get right on it when I get home today.

On an unrelated note, I just checked out the links in your sig, and you have some stuff that interests me.  Do you think I could buy these three, and if so how much are you looking for?

Mike, I got confirmation that Snakes' has printed 100 flyers which he'll hand over to me tomorrow at my table so mission accomplished.

I'll print some more close to the October 18th Montreal Toy Con and that should take care of it so no need to print me some.

Thanks again SnakesEyesOnAPlane.

Had a BLAST at the con today!  Met Boba Fett himself, stared in awe at Lou Ferringo, got some stuff signed by Herb Trimpe [including Special Missions #1, which he was talking to me about], talked to some artists, got some incredible art [Jose Holder drew me an amazing diptych of Snake-Eyes fighting Storm Shadow - took two cons to complete!], and, of course, met up with LatinJoe himself.  Thanks for the Trouble Bubble, mate!

The Montreal Comic Con continues tomorrow, so get on down there!  There were some great Joe stuff for sale, including Cobra Island 7-packs, 25th vehicles like the Stinger and Arctic HISS, a table of 80s vehicles like a boxed WHALE, plenty of Joe comics, and a whole lot more!

The guys from Toys on Fire that were next to our table had the stinger for 30$, and the rest of wave 5 vehicles too. Worth the shot. Check it out tomorrow, it's from 10am to 5pm.

Saw Scramble today, and the show was great. I had tons of fun and even got Herb Trimp to put write : "Major H. Trimpe" on my MOBAT. Now, that's priceless ( because I'm keeping it.

I also got a Boba and Greedo signed figure signed by respective fellow actors Jeremy Bullock and Maria de Aragon! Everyone was so nice, so the day was a great success.

Thanks to all those that came ( even If I didn't see you ;D )

Good stuff!  My buddy got his Marvel Universe Hulk signed by Lou Ferringo and his Tales of the Bounty Hunter novel signed by Jeremy Bullock.  Herb Trimpe was really nice to me, like the last time I met him.  Very modest and laid back.  I explained to him how much I enjoy his art on the GI Joe books, and that I was disappointed when his run ended.

He signed Special Missions #1, Transformers #11-12 [his first 2 issues], and Backissue #28, which features an article about him and an interview, plus some of his art.

Jose Holder is so awesome.  At the last Comic Con, he drew me a Snake-Eyes sketch, his first time drawing a G.I. Joe character!  This time, he drew me a Storm Shadow in the same art style and pose so that they are facing off against each other, Snakes dodging backwards defensively and Stormy leaping forward, attacking.  I have to frame these and mount them on my wall!

This was a much bigger comic con than I've seen before in Montreal. I really like the direction the con's heading, although the price increase was discouraging.

LatinJoe22, always good to see you.

There are usually 2 per year, one in the winter and one in May.  But this was the biggest one yet, lasting 2 days with bigger guests, and in September!

I attented the Spring Comic Con. It was not good at all in terms of program. And It felt empty. This one was a total experience the first day, and managed to pull through very well the second day to my surprise ( I was expecting way less people but no  :)).

The secret formula to a Convention's success is the program, and of course, the variety of Guests. The admission may have increased from 6$ to 10$, but hey this time around there was a ton of guest attendance, comic book artists, actors and well known personas from the entertainment industry.

I wouldn't complain about the cover charge increase at all even if it was obviously important this year, but one musn't forget that it just had to follow with the improvement of the program. At the last Con, I felt that I got ripped off paying 6$ and not really doing much but buying, and buying. This time the 10$ admission was well worth it as I got various memories to cherish from it and took some pics with cool people, a few Celebrities and a swarm of nobody's like me!.

Just kiddin', I am somebody and so are you , Yo-Joe!

It was the combination of parking and admission that made the day expensive. $20 just to go to the con hurts my attendance and the possibility of my wife attending. Sure, the celebrities were better, but seeing Honky Tonk Man sitting by his lonesome or Lou Ferrigno charge $30 a signature didn't make the day any better. Mike Alred, on the other hand, very much did.

I'm goin' for sure.  Unless something terrible happens before like I get struck by a white minivan again.

Too bad they changed the costuming rules.  Now there's something about a 'masquerade' involving skits...  My buddy and I were going to reuse our Halloween costumes (http://http://ages25andup.blogspot.com/2009/10/happy-halloween.html) and be in character, but now, forget it.

Yeah but my Tunnel Rat costume didn't require any real handy work. All I had to do was step into a military surplus store and spend over 100$ in gear to bring to life a Tunnel Rat. I'm just beeing modest here, I know that your costume required a lot of work, while mine really didn't. The only thing I crafted myself as part of my costume, and it was really minimal, were the makeup and the bandana, which was a plain army green shirt that I tied with a rubber band ( I saw this on Platoon, which is one of my favorite NAM movies ).

Hey, don't worry, I wasn't upset!  ;D
And what are you talking about?  Your Tunnel Rat costume was fantastic!  The only way it could have been petter would be if you had a repainted Nerf Longshot with you!

Yeah but my Tunnel Rat costume didn't require any real handy work. All I had to do was step into a military surplus store and spend over 100$ in gear to bring to life a Tunnel Rat. Thanks, man.

Ah, good ol' Platoon!  The bandana was great and the gear you had was fantastic.  I was going to buy some gear from that surplus store, like a tacvest or some webgear or something, but it ended up being way too expensive for me...
