Wave 8 2008 Canadian Card Images
« on: December 15, 2008, 06:20:30 PM »

I thought they might skip it but it looks like we will indeed be getting this wave in Canada.  It shouldn't be long before we see these at retail.
Same old character art and the back of the card is the same as the previous two waves (wave 7 08 figures).

Woohoo! Red divers!

I like these guys even better than the EELS. Mostly because they come with an awesome gun...

I grabbed an American Red Diver last week at a comic shop. For a Torpedo remake he is remarkably badass.

I think this will be the last wave I buy in its entirety,  and even this wave I am not sold on all of the figures - I already have a ripper/trip-wire/CC and the Blue Ninja/Python CG doesn't do anything for me.
Really the only one I like is the red diver.

I had an easy time convincing myself that I will cut myself off from Joes when the Movie stuff hits the shelf. They are just going to torture us though, I'm sure. Movie waves will probably hold key remakes we are still missing. It would be nice if they could do the movie stuff independent of the nostalgia line, but I ain't holding my breath.

I bought three Cobra Divers from local comic shop a couple of weeks ago.  This is a very good repaint.  The rest of the wave is meh.

The head on the diver looks very feminine to me.  I can almost see it being used as a Jinx figure in the future.

I think it's the same head as Eels.

All the figures I either already have or don't want. I think my wallet just screamed "yay!"

I only ordered the MOC Ripper to keep up-to-date with my MOC '85 single cards, and a MOC Tripwire for the hell of it.  Nothing else of interest here for me.
