Jungle Strike Humvee and Sky sweeper jet
« on: September 01, 2004, 04:28:09 PM »

I mentioned this in another thread but thought I'd make a new subject message so it's easier to find. I just picked up both the Jungle Strike Humvee and Sky sweeper jet from my local Toys R Us in Kitchener, $19.99 each ($45 or so after tax for both).
BTW, the Sky Sweeper comes with Sgt.Airborne in a black outfit. Is that what figure came with the Sky sweeper before? It's not mentioned on the Yo Joe section of the figure:

No figure came with the Sky Sweeper from before.  Which explains why I don't own it.

Also, the Sky sweeper is black where I heard the other one from '03 was a midnight purple. And  it still comes with sound attack features.

The SkySweeper sound very familiar - and I am really glad that Humvee made it to Canada!  I will be hunting all of the GTA looking for that thing this weekend.

My local Toy R Us is down to 2 of the Humvee's. No more Sky sweepers.  :shifty:
I think they come 2 Skysweepers and 4 Humvee's per case so when you do see them, even though the Humvee looks cooler, the Sky Sweeper is the one to watch for.

Saw both of these at Toysrus at the 427 and QEW, the Jet is slightly different, I haven't opened it yet, but just from picking it up in the store they paint application on it is different, as for the Humvee it is amazing, I have posted a picture over on Joe customs, simply because I couldn't figure out how to link a file here.

I picked up both in a London Toys R Us on friday afternoon, I was not sure if I wanted to get the jet and I know I wanted the humvee, but after purchasing both I opened them up and I have to tell you I like the Jet even more of the two, I already own 2 corps humvees and there is pretty much little or no difference between the 2, I have customized the two corps humvees so they pretty much look like the new hummer I have.

But the jet just looks awesome, all except for the little flight pod, that I will never use. not a bad vehicle for 20 bucks!

Saw one of the Humvee's last night in  Oakville TRU. It was hidden behind some stuff, so I put it back in plain view.

There's plenty of them in the Hurontario/Eglinton TRU in Mississauga.
