My Action Force collection (UK/Europe GI Joe cousin)
« on: August 03, 2010, 12:05:13 PM »

Figured I'd post some pix, dunno how interested anyone is...

Q-Force, Action Force's naval ops unit. L-R Shark, aquatrooper; Phones, Sonar trooper; Leviathan, deep sea defender; Surfer, with Sea Skimmer.

SAS Force's canoeist, Beaver with Silent Attack Kayak. You guys should love him, he's a Canuck.

SAS Force's Stakeout and his Boat Patrol boat.

Z Force, the armour and infantry force. L-R we have Quarrel on the Rapid Fire Bike (Scarlett and RAM repaints); Steeler and Battle Tank (Steeler and MOBAT repaints); generic Z Infantryman, ATC (APC redo - it's got a different interior as well as a new colour scheme); Tracker, the sapper; Skip, Z Captain; Z Force jeep with Wheels the driver and The Commander; Breaker, radio operator - a completely different figure to the US one.

SAS Force, the sneaky bastard commandos. L-R Stalker, jeep driver (repaint of V1 Snake Eyes); Chopper, helo pilot; generic Attack Trooper; Beaver; Quickfire, commando; Eagle, Squad Leader; 'Playback' - a variant of Quickfire with a spare radio pack who's a VLBC; Stakeout; Hound and Rex (Attack Trooper minus backpack, with Junkyard from Joe and a different gun, another LBC); Sparrowhawk the paratrooper; Barracuda the frogman.

Space Force the air and space arm L-R Thrust - a custom jetpack trooper; Moondancer, pilot; Pulsar, a custom Space Ranger; Sky Raider, commander; Kiwi, engineer; Hot Jets, pilot and Hawkwind, Space Security Trooper.

SAS Panther jeep, a redeco'd VAMP mkI

Z Jeep

Z Tank

ATC

Rapid Fire bike

Z Force Whirlwind

all the AF figures

my humble Red Shadow army, 2 Mutons, 2 Kraken, 2 Red Shadows, Ironblood and Black Major and a Skeletron

Nice - but where is Jammer?

I have a question though - their articulation is closer to vintage Star Wars.  Is that where some of the molds came frmo?

Yeah, where is your Jammer, in Martin-Montreal's collection now ?  :P I know last time I asked him he was still looking for one. It's great to see your Z-Force vehicles and that Mobat with Steeler and the RAM with Quarrel

i never had Jammer, he and Gaucho, the Gung-Ho repaint - came with the Command Centre, which i never had.

as a kid, all the Z stuff, the SAS Panther, SAS MMS, Boat Patrol, Eagle, Barracuda and Quickfire were all i had. I've added the Shad force, Q and Space Force and Beaver, Chopper, Sparrowhawk and the Attack Trooper and the two customs. i've also got the Z Attack Cannon (FLAK repaint) and the Dart and Shaft (Z repaints of the PACRAT Flamethrower and missile launcher), but the Shaft's legs are broke.

my AF wants list is solely for the Space Force Cosmic Cruiser and a Shadwotrak.

RE: the parts, AFAIK the parts are all original to AF. a LOT of the UK AF figures in this part of the range are redecos and body-swaps from the first AF series which was basically mini-Action Man figures. the white 'Arctic Assault' and the brown 'Ground Assault' seen in the group shot and the green-suited Helicopter Pilot are all Series 1. - Chopper was a recoloured Helo Pilot, whilst Surfer uses the -Assault head, legs and arms with the torso of the 'Commando' - which they used whole cloth redeco'd as Quickfire, Stakeout and Tracker. Skip was redone from the '2 Para' and 'Royal Marine' figures (Para came from RM), Eagle was a redone 'SAS' figure and Barracuda is the S1 'SAS Frogman' with added 'SAS Force' logo. the Z jeep was a recoloured S1 jeep, whilst said jeep's detachable boat was recoloured to become the SAS Boat Patrol.

the think you have to remember as well about the AF stuff repainted from US stuff is, it goes for £££££ on the bay because of all these f***ing US collectors who want 'UK/European exclusive repaint' figures/vehicles. they don't think Red Laser is a seperate character, to them he's 'UK exclusive repaint Cobra Commander' for example.

My "AF" consists of this year's US JoeCon Paratrooper Flint and the Z-Cycle.

Beautiful collection in great shape. I picked up a bunch of figures at a Boot sale when I was over there, but none are that good or complete. (Except a MOC Muton I picked up.)  ;D
