I grew up hating the Oilers.  But the though of the Stanley Cup being hoisted in hillbilly country would make me sick.  They don't give a shit about the game there.  Bring the cup back to Canada.

I really envy the Oiler fans right now.  This is the way you are suppose to support your team.  In Toronto, I am stuck watching a corporate crowd. Completely useless twits.

FYI there are more Canadian players on the 'canes than on the Oilers...

I wasn't referring to players on the Canes.  It's the bandwagon fans in that hockey false market called North Carolina.  They couldn't even sellout the joint until the 3rd round.  There should be no NHL team in North Carolina period but that is a different story all togetther.  

Look at Tampa Bay in 2004.  They win the cup and nobody cares.  The same will happen in this area if the Canes win.  Hence, I rather have the cup go back to Edmonton.  It won't be an after thought there.

I don't want to see the cup in Carolina either. I don't have a problem cheering for any Canadian team, aside from Montreal. But Vancouver is my home team so they are always my top pick. So I'm on the Oilers bandwagon. I was on the Flames bandwagon two years ago. The rally in Calgary after they lost was way bigger than the "victory celebration" in Tampa Bay.  :evil:
