What a difference......
« on: January 05, 2007, 07:53:25 PM »

So, you guys 'should' know about www.classicfigs.com right?

It's been up for just over two months now, and the place it hopping.

I mean.... I wasn't even going to put a message board on the site, and now I can't keep up with all the posts.

I'm just shocked at the major difference between a Joe Site and a Wrestling site is.

I didn't think I'd have to pay much attention to it, but I'm constantly having to move, edit and delete threads there.

Thank you guys. I'm so happy this site is so 'low key'. ;-)

With wrestling your going to get the younger crowd.  Hence, more to moderate and move stuff around.  With GI JOE, lets face it, it's basically non-existant with today's younger crowd.

Good thing nothing as hit the fan on this new board.  I can't edit or delete posts if need be.  I am not sure if any of the other mods have this problem.

I keep meaning to 'reset' all the mod settings. I'll hopefully get to that today.

Possibly might be a younger crowd but I haven't seem any problems over there yet, which is good because Mike was kind enough to keep my mod status alive and kicking when he closed up our threads over here and set up the new board. Good thing for those guys 'cause I'm the Danny Davis of refs.  :shifty:

Great thing about wrestling is that there's something new to talk about every week.

Too bad there's no weekly G.I. Joe TV show (with no re-runs)

Too bad the Devil's Due comic continuity isn't really worth discussing.

You got to also understand yes, there is a small number of GIJoe fans, but also a very small fraction in Canada (JoeCANUCK). At Classicfigs, I'm sure you get lots of wrestling fans not just from North America, but from other parts of the world. A good portion probably came from Wrestlingfigs.com, which has hundred times more members than Joecustoms.
