Suggestions / Image gallery?
« on: August 29, 2009, 11:50:03 AM »
Hey guys,

I'm fairly new here but haven't seen any galleries where pics are archives.  When organized well, a gallery can be a terrific addition to the usual reference material.  Over time, it can become a primary source of information that will help educate all of us better and also give forum members a chance to show off their good stuff.  Anonymous postings may be in order for those nervous about advertising their awesomeness!  Just a thought!

Introductions / Hello from Virginia
« on: August 29, 2009, 11:44:48 AM »
Greetings from Ground Zero (well, about 20 miles from it anyways).  Heard about this site over at the Mego Museum forum and have enjoyed reading through the forums.  I won't say how old I am but I had some 12" Joes when I was a kid.  I particularly loved the scuba and astronaut gear.  Wish I still had those!  Got to relive the glory days when my kid got into the smaller Joes.  He ended up wiht a ton of them (wish I had bought a few extra and stashed them away).  Always loved action figures and started actually collecting them back in the eighties.  My collection is wide-ranging from Joes to Star Wars to Star Trek to Megos to . . . well, you get the idea.  I have learned quite a bit from this site and enjoy reading the posts from other crazies who love these toys.  Keep up the good work guys!

I've got the 3 you need.

PM me your info and I'll send them out this week

Hey there!  I've PM'ed you a few times with my address but I'm not entirely sure that it worked correctly.  Please let me know if your offer still stands and whether or not you got my address.  Thanks Stealth Viper . . .

Sorry Spencer, we don't make this clear anywhere but you need a minimum 5 posts to PM.

Aha!  And I thought I was doing something wrong!  Thanks for helping me return to sanity!

JoeCanuck Trading Cards / Love the cards - missing a few

Hey gang,

Got a fat envelope of cards in the mail and was totally blown away!  They are really beautifully done with great artwork and information.  Love the brilliant white cardstock and glossy finish as well.  I'm looking for those last three cards like many others.  If any kind forum veteran has an extra 1,3, or 9 - I would be forever grateful.  I'm more than happy to trade for them and have the following extras (minus a few I've already sent to some other collectors):  2, 4, 5, 7, 10 , 13, 17, and 19.

Thanks guys, and grats on a great site.

Hey guys,

I'm new here and after forgetting my password for a bit (doh - have too many of the damn things), I  have finally managed to log in.  Love the site, and was blown away by the quality of the cards.  They are beautifully done and I've already shared a few of my extras!  Now to go after those missing cards!  I collect all types of figures including Joes - these are a wonderful addition to my collection which my wife does not understand at all but tolerates with grace and humor.
