How many are you getting?
« on: January 14, 2004, 04:20:03 PM »

I know Carl is going to go nuts on these.  So am I.  They will compliment my Brazilian Cobra soldiers.  I figure this will be my first Cobra troops to get over 50 or 100.

Yes well you know the only thing that will stop me from getting 100 of these packs are the weapons...I wanted to have about 20 or so in the begining but now I have to think...the guns and backpacks suck...and I think they would only look good with black weapons...so accessory pack guns are out...???...I do not know...maybe time to order from some of those repo guys?

I'm hoping to get 5 packs, but I agree the weapons blow especially the guns.  These are a Toys R Us exclusive right?

I am not sure...i do not think so as Toy R Us is not selling them on line yet...they had a pre-order for everything else exclusive...so i am guessing these are going to be every where...well except Canada

I'm probably going to get at least one pack but i've actually been humming and hawing over that. I'm probably too old skool in my thinking but i'd rather have my Cobra army be made up from original 82/83 figs than the new ones, especially considering i don't have anything released within the last 4 years. If i do get the set, they'll probably be displayed seperately from my other Cobra figs.

I understand the notion that new cobras used for army builder isn't impressive as having the older guys.  I am one of those that subscribes to that notion as well as I rather get the old school versions. However, I am keeping up with the new figures and it's not cheap either.  As a result,  I am not paying 20 bucks or more US for vintage soldiers when I can get 6 of them.  The Bat 6 pack was good.  The Python Patrol 6 pack was great.  This set will blow them all away.

The Cobra 6 pack will be in regular TRUs like PP.

It's too bad that only the bat packs made it up here (Thanks to Mike)

Otherwise, we have to make friends in the states.

I would like to get 10 packs if I could, but I guess we'll have to see.

I have made friends in the USA to help me out for the JOE stuff as we well know nothing makes it up here.

As for these packs, it worth the drive to Buffablow to get them.

Three sets is a safe number for me. I'm not too keen in army-building these troops. Army-building Vipers is different story.
