GI JOE Greenshirts - due out February 20, 2005 in the USA

Crimson Guard Tomax pack - due out March 10, 2005

Crismon Guard Xamot pack - due out March 10, 2005

I think one greenshirt pack will be fine for me.

As for the Crimson Guard 6 packs, I am not sure if will I will go nuts on them either. Firefly=

Someone at Joe Customs mentioned that the Greenshirts look like the "99 cent knock-offs that you can find at Walgreens". I agree. Maybe it's their glossy green paint...I don't know. And the 92 Duke helmet reminds me of a turtleshell whenever I see it. I was hoping the greenshirts would look as nifty as their DD comic counterparts.

Well I know I'm going to end up buying at least one of each set but they really aren't that great. In fact, I think I like the green shirts more than the Crimson set right now plus I army build in sets of 3 but I seperate figure heads from army builders, so that leaves me with 8 Crimson troops and 2 Crimson firefly figures. Gah! Way to screw up my numbers.

Nice to see the pics included Pete. Good job!

General Hawk had his theory that Hasbro bundles the budgets on the 6-packs so they end up with one high quality set and one low. I think they took that idea to new heights here.

Three sets. One contains all new head sculpts. The other is repackaged CGs identical to the ones from a vehicle set late last year, a Firefly that matches a rejected colour scheme from the Urban set, and Tomax and Zamot which are identical except the headswap.

I honestly would have bought a whole mess of the Crimson Guard sets if they were identical but with CGIs instead of Fireflies. Even if it was the CAT CGI repackaged. Now I may not even buy the set because of Firefly.

Oh well, I don't really need more than 12 CGs anyway, so one set of each will be enough.

Actually, the Twins look interesting. If anybody army builds these and wants to unload a pair of Twins...

I've just never been enticed by the CG figures and the Greenshirts look awful.

It would have been nice if they threw in the second mold of Grunt to go along with the green shirts as the team leader. Sure, I know people don't want to army build "Grunt" but look at the Crimson set with Tomax or Xamot. Can't army build those guys either, same as Scar face.

The red Cobra Officer from the Cobra Infantry 6 pack was never referred to as Scar Face. No filecard was given to him for that either. Plus that character in the comic book had two scars on his face. Hence, he is a regular army builder for me.
