Besides the Zellers deal on the Night Raven, I have come across a couple of other good deals.  These are online, and may be US only, but I figured I'd throw em out there anyway.

TRU has the MARS Troopers three packs online for $12.86.  I know a Canadian store had these actually on the shelves on clearance, but these were only available online in the States, and offer a good deal to do some troop-building.

Wal-Mart has rollbacked the PIT to $80.

And last but not least:
K-Mart has the PIT for $56 online!

Last I was there, remaining PIT playsets were $50 at Walmart Canada.

My question is: with all these deals, presumably because of over stock/over ordering i.e. lack of sales, will this affect the retail stores purchase and stocking of future GIJoe products?

I think you can safely assume that yes, it will.
