Oakville Zellers (Hopedale)

They had just put out all the new stuff.  Night Adder/Kamakura Wave (at least a few cases), Target 4 packs, and 2 sets of the Target vehicle sets. Yes, I grabbed the only 2. Sorry, but I could not help it. There's at least 1 Kamakura and multiples of the rest still there though.

Remember - if you're buying at Zellers bring the TRU flier and price match the 3 for $20 promo!

Well personally, I refuse to pay the price of a Bravo vehicle for something smaller than a 20$ Alpha class vehicle.

I encourage everyone who's outraged at the price to call HBC customer service at 1-888-226-2225 and issue a complaint in regards to the price. If you have the product # or the SKU of the toy handy, it's really helpful when you call.

its not like I would just be going for the snakes.. My wife and I go to the states about once a month...  so you just dropped $60 on two snakes... you could get two vintage ones on ebay cheaper than that....

They are out in your area as well.   There were at least 6 to 8 of each deluxe vehicle sets (including the Snake Armour) at the Zellers store located in Cedarbrae Mall (Toronto) as of tonight.  I bought the one Serpent Armour set I was after.  I would have bought more.  But at 30 bucks a pop, you have to be kidding me.

The packages are tri-lingual.

Even though I will pay it, I can't help but feel HBC made an error on the price. I got all four of the first wave from Target for 9.99 each!

That's why I called customer service.
Seriously, you should do it. The more attention is brought to the exorbitant price... the more likely we'll have the price reduced... at which point you'll be able to buy Serpent Armors to your heart's content. :p

I grabbed the 2 I found for 1 simple reason:

This wave is hard to find in the US at Targets. Most Targets are still sitting on Wave 1 and haven't got them. The ones that have had them, the SNAKE Armor sets are long gone.

Look on ebay for them - they aren't there. The few that were listed sold for $30 or more US.

So yeah - I grabbed them while I saw them.

My US contact ran into this problem while on the look out in terms of finding all four sets for myself.  The Black Snake/Serpent armour sets are long gone. 

I may get another one.  But at a $30 per, Canadians are being commercially raped in comparison to what Americans paid for them (which is the case for most things in this country).
