Advice?
« on: March 15, 2009, 07:11:43 PM »

Alright, I'm wondering what you guys think:

I have a few surplus Canadian-Card Joes that I bought a few months back from Walmart.  Now, I'm cleaning up and want to try and sell them...

My first thought is to bring them back to Walmart.  I don't have the receipts anymore, but does Walmart do store-credit exchanges without receipts?
Or, I could try selling them, but I really don't think I'd get anything/much for the effort it would take.

Do you think it's worth bringing them back to Walmart to try an exchange?  or, has anyone had luck/failure returning to walmart without a receipt?

Thanks

You can try returning them, they usually give you store credit. But if they ever went on sale (or roll back, whatever they call it), they'll likely only give you credit for the lower amount.

You can take them back to walmart and they will give you a store credit on a gift card.

You'll also only get the lower - older price. Or a sale price - whatever is cheaper.

EDIT: Frikkin' Cujo beat me to it!

That's alright...  I bought them before the prices went up, so I wouldn't expect to "make" money off this.  $7.92 or something...

If they can give me a gift card, that would be ideal...  Lord knows I go there often enough.  Anyone know if they have a limit?  Can I only exchange a certain amount or does it matter?

Well, I was impressed by how good they were for the return...   They gave me a gift card and the current price, even after I was honest and told them that I bought them back when prices were $7-something.  They couldn't change it, or something.

Anyway, that's over.  Thanks for you help
