Great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The website was nice and easy... (was it a commercial of something... :shifty:

I was great, Nice and very easy to navigate through. The only negative thing I would say is that I could not find the log out button, Not a big thing but it was the only bad thing I could find!
-
What I really like about the con set pre-registration process is that It now gives me more time to save up some extra cash to spend at the convention - Same great experience as every year but this time with a lot less stress - Way to go CJC!
-
My plan was to pay with my CC, but I didn't see any other option than Paypal :'(
At the PayPal payment screen, there is a link to pay with your credit card directly.

You just must of missed it. It's always there, unless you're always logged into your PayPal account.

Just think, now you guys don't have to spend the night in line. :P

As far as can remember the Mike saying, this limited pre-registration is in a way a thank you to those who contributed to the board to this day. I'm very glad I'm part of Joecanuck. But had I not made it past the pre-registration, I would still be lining up like a very happy trooper without any complaints. The con set is already a plus to the awesome convention experience, and the pre-registration will help me enjoy the convention in a different way this year. Thanks team Joe Canuck.
Grunt4mvp, Pdaat, it was a priviledge to meet you in the traditional line-up each year. Things may be a little different from now on if pre-registration becomes a standard. Let the good times roll and I'll see you again when they call us in to get our sets and into the dealer's hall

well I'm not sure it worked or not , with the number I got. Here's hoping! ( and if not, well I'll see you guys in line :) )

W00T
I'm still coming to the Con early tho.

So much for midnight Monopoly..........
We'll always have the memories LJ.
As for the process, it worked fine - no surprises if you buy anything on-line. So much for hiding how much I've been paying for these to my wife.

Mike -- I think this pre-registration is a great idea, and definitely feel you're going in the right direction. While the lineup was a very enjoyable experience for me last year, it also was very tiring since I had just driven up from Pittsburgh. And I paid for a hotel room that I didn't even use the first night (although my lazy son did). I remember several other people saying they were having trouble staying awake during the con on Saturday afternoon, so this will help in that respect. Plus, you'll be getting your money in advance, so it might help you pay some bills for the con. So thank you for offering this early sign-up. I hope it works for you and is expanded next year so more people can take advantage of it. Thanks again!

I will still line up just not so early...

I'll still be in line. I got to record it for documentation purposes. :)
My wife is a banker...I can get NOTHING past her. She'd probably come to the con with me if she had her passport. Yet another reason why I like coming to Canada. I get a default hobby weekend without the wife and kiddo. I can't do that for the GIJCC Con. Although, her working for the bank does have advantages, especially when getting money converted without fees.
-
I'll be in-line too.. the line-up was one of the best moment last year IMO!
-
I only had one problem with registration (tried to get 2 registrations at one time - which doesn't work).
Mike fixed everything for me and I am good to go.
-
So did you make it to 25 Mike?

I will still line up just not so early...
Ditto, the extra few hours is actually pretty important to me staying awake during the events in the later parts of the day. :)
-
Everything LJ22 said, I echo.
I really enjoy the line-ups - it's the only time I get to meet people in person, but the extra few hours of sleep will mean I enjoy the day more and can hang in there longer at the end.
The checkout was perfect - especially now that I know it's a forum thread, as opposed to a new menu tab.
-
I think this process worked very very well. Hopefully Hasbro can contribute more in the future so everyone can pre-register and receive a con set.
-
Pre-registration is a great idea guys and it seems to work very well. Very easy to use.
-
It was so easy I made a third order of items!
-
i like this idea and i hope it cuts down on ppl cutting in line this yr.
-
I just ordered the lady j card (and a couple others), woo hoo! And the comic, looking forward to getting them shipped after the con. Very glad to be able to get these, thanks Mike!
-
Hey,
odd question here. I am looking to pre-register for the con and i know the kids registration is not availalble for the pre-register. I have a 6 year old who is coming. If i pre-registered the 2 adults, do i still need to wait in line for the 6 year old to get in?
-
Pre-registering is no longer available.
Only "at door" is available the day of the event.
-
ok thanx! either way i will be there!
