Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Post-Joe Meet...my thoughts
« on: February 07, 2004, 11:51:48 PM »
Special thanks to all the organizers of the event. I know it takes a LOT of time and effort to put these things together and even running the thing takes energy out to ya. I had a real great time at the meet today and I hope we can do it again next year.

I especially enjoyed having the G.I. Joe cartoons on TV. Something about having the show playing in the background really helped the atmosphere. The pepperoni was delicious. The timbits were delicious.

It was a great chance to put some faces to same names. Now I'm trying to decide whether I want to take my Joe Canuck action figure out of the package. I guess I'm never going to sell it, so I might as well open it, but it looks so damn good in the bubble. Decisions decisions...

It's a bloody good vehicle and it comes with THREE BATS. I call it brilliant.

20-25!?!?! Wow. That's definitely an improvement over last year. At least now I have a crowd to hide in when the time comes for a group photo.

General Joe Talk / How many are you getting?
« on: January 25, 2004, 07:01:45 PM »
Two packs should be enough for me. If I ever get back into Dio-Stories (which seems less and less likely every day) they're be really handy for that. I don't really display my Joes, so I can't justify building massive armies.

But yeah, the 6-pack looks to be the mother of all army-builders. I like the standard blues better than Vipers or CGs or BATS or whatever, so I'll have to make a real effort to get any if they don't make it up to Canada.

While we're plugging... I recently uploaded an online portfolio of my work. While it's meant to attract Graduate Schools, I thought you guys might be interested in my Video Game project.

General Joe Talk / What is your most wanted Joe item?

Used to be an original chrome-dome Cobra Commander, but I got mine six years ago. Now it's a Sgt. Airbourne 2003. (my needs are simple)

I haven't updated the site in like a year, and I doubt I'll be updating it any time in the near future, but it's still pretty decent.
