I know you guys never visit the actual link of www.joecanuck.com (http://www.joecanuck.com) - but I think you should.
We have a new "Splash Page" logo set up... and I'm curious to know what you guys think of it.
Mind you, if anyone is willing to make a new splash page logo, by all means make one and send it in. :-)

Thumbs up! I like it. Gives a nice little glimpse of the the history of this site.

i like it also. I noticed it right away, when you guys changed it!

Nice, real nice!

It looks pretty cool, but splash pages are no more common use now... They are usually useful to choose a language, a city or something like that. Here, there is no other option than 1 click...
Since JoeCanuck is essentially a board of discussion (the store is no more active, right?), why not making the board the entry page instead?
In the board, there is box at the left for news anyway. And removing the splash will save 2 clicks to reach the board... I'm just saying...
So, my suggestion would be to remove the splash page and to move its design at the top of the board page instead of this:

That will save some clicks and improve awareness of the site, IMO.

I like Spash pages. ;-) Simple as that.
And we do use the site for other things. Main page news, newsletter archive, etc.
The site is due for an overhaul, and you'll "want" to check the main page when you come here when it's done. ;-)
