I told him to make sure the mold had the word "viper' listed on it somewhere and they would sell.

also thinking about it, he'd have better luck with black or flesh than white. The only material force microman figure left at retail was the white one.

But I'm personally conflicted. The white would take rit dye so well.

Actualy, a plain figure in cobra blue with a viper head would sell (not smell) like hotcakes.

They could come with a little sticker kit with a silver sticker for the faceplate and the cobra logo stickers, and maybe a few other cobra stickers (nightwatch, toxo, air logos) so that you could "customize" them into whatever cobra generic type you want.

Maybe even sell the stickers seperately, so you could purchase a set of whatever logo interested you.

That would make the set appeal to just about everyone, and be really low priced to boot. Not everyone would want to paint figures, but everyone likes to put stickers on.

After looking at a plain blue prototype figure in this link, I don't think they would sell.  You need some deco applied on them.  Or they just scream of boring.

You're right, to those without a paintbrush, they'd be awfully boring. You'd have to provide something to customize them somehow.

Like stickers. Seriously people, stickers!

*sigh* I am so alone on this one aren't I.

Silly bird boy, I already passed on your suggestion on the MC board...

"Another thought that was brought up on the Joecanuck board was what about blank figures with sticker sheets. They can have different coloured face plate stickers and then different sub group stickers like the generic Cobra Symbol, Night Watch, Toxo, Air Logo, Drednok, etc..."

I thought the whole point was to have blank figures for customizers to paint.

Did I miss something?

Painting eyes is a bitch. But stickers for customization worked well for stickfas, and I think that this project would draw on stickfas success.

Plain figures would be fun for the joecustoms crowd, but that's only about 500 collectors of the 5000 member joe community.

Stickers would save those that don't paint from having to do so.

Naturally those that do paint would have a lot more fun...

So only release figures with no eyes.

You know, like BATs, Tele Vipers, etc etc

All black bats with 1 silver deco might go over very well. Perfect choice for a cut rate trooper.
