Did anyone read Joe Reborn? **spoilers herein**
« on: March 08, 2004, 01:02:02 PM »

As a whole, I thought this was an interesting take on the Joe mythology, but what was up with the whole bio-weapons thing against Scarlett's family?  Don't get me wrong, certainly in the modern world that sort of thing is a real threat, but why single out just that one potential member of the Joe team?

On a slightly different note, what was up with Duke, Hawk and the imposter?  Was it just me, or did all three men look the same?  I mean  its pretty safe to say it was Zartan, but I found the whole scene kinda confusing.

I have 2 major issues with it:

1) They turned Doc into a female character. WTF is up with that?

2) No backstory on Snake Eyes. We get some backstory on Lady Jaye, but not Snake Eyes? WTF?

Is the art as good as the cover? Or better than the regular series?

I hate it when Duke and Hawk are drawn alike.

The art is pretty much on par with the regular series, but  I will say that  I do like the look of the majority of the characters.  The stubble on beach head was a nice touch.

I have to agree.  WTF is up with Doc being a chick named Carla.  With  Scarlett and Lady Jaye, (not to mention Covergirl and Jinx) you wouldn't really think they'd need another female lead.

I did not like it...I am in University and have read alot of texts that are supposed to be really intellectual... or meaning just difficult to read because the writer is trying to impress his colleges...I think this is the case here....it was way to confusing...I had to guess as to what they were trying to say and there must have been some pages cut...because the copy I got was just to much info for one book?they could have made each intro a book?.lol!!!
