i'd never chrome anything cuz i just don't get the obsession with chrome.

I wouldn't chrome most things.  I find chrome's more effective/looks better in small doses, in certain key areas.  If everything's chromed out, you'll take chrome for granted and it won't be as impressive or important.  It'll just feel like a gimmick, know what I mean? :wink:

i would never get anything vintage done, anything from 2002+ would be fair game though.

Yeah, I typically and generally don't like the idea of using vintage items for customs, but for chrome, it seems more like an upgrade.
