I've had my Indian Jones cargo truck sitting on my table down stairs for a few weeks and I've been think it was a good candidate for the Oktober Guard.

I am not familiar with the truck.  Did OG use it in one of the old Marvel comics?

I was a little disappointed by the selections for the 2 and 3 - packs.  I was hoping to get some more OG figures.  I have a cool custom of Dragonski, so did not need him, but was thinking of some of the other guys, like Big Bear, etc.

Have to see the truck and helicopter.  Snarler is not bad. though I would not drop $90 on E-bay for it (one just sold at that price).

Here's one from left field.....do any of the figures have an animal companion?

Will there be Joes and Cobras in the set?

or

Will the set be all-new characters, all updated versions of existing ones, or a combination of both?

...now you've gone and made me check the site on a daily basis!  ;)

Yes, updates of the O-Rings would be cool. Looking forward to seeing Robert Atkins' cover....big fan of his work.

Cool game.

If there are no real themes, are there any military specialties which are being particularly emphasized?

Thanks.

JoeCanuck Trading Cards / Re: Question on Trading Cards
« on: June 20, 2012, 05:34:04 PM »
Thanks, bandonov and latinjoe22, that's very cool.

At this point, I need a fair bit of cards, so I'll see what I can get at CJC and then post any remaining gaps.....I don't want to be too pigish on the boards.

Less than 2 months to go for the CJF.....very exciting stuff.

JoeCanuck Trading Cards / Question on Trading Cards
« on: June 17, 2012, 07:01:23 PM »
Hi - apologies if this is a daft question, but how hard are the trading cards to obtain ?  I only have a few of them now, but I like to complete the set....they are pretty cool.  I saw a complete set on-line for maybe $30 and was not sure if that was a good / bad deal.  Can anyone give their thoughts?

Thanks!

Wow, these are cool, thanks for sharing.  How big are they?

The marvel covers bring back a lot of childhood memories......amazing how clear you can remember something from 25 - 30 years ago.

Actually, I believe Porter just flys into YTZ, not Pearson.

I am going to the Blue Jays game on Friday night, so I am staying in City Center.  I believe that is a closer to the Stadium.

Got my airline tickets yesterday...pretty pumped about that.

For anyone flying, Porter Air is having a sale.  Use the coupon code = SUMMER

Budo, actually.  Always though he was sort of bad ass and loved the concept of a samurai, which is totally random.  Sort of like a ninja / martial artist (think Quick Kick), but more obscure.  I mean, its a samurai!!  Though, I always felt SE was sort of a samurai - lite b/c he uses the sword a lot.

As a child growing up in the '80s, I loved the idea of different specialties....still do.....it is sort of like, "whatever we need, we have somebody for that role, no matter how obscure"

Speaking of Grid Iron, I actually have a Grid Iron custom figure that a customizer named Bad Sociologist did for me.  It is great....and to be honest, it does not look like a bizarre character.  I should attach a pic, if I can figure that out.
