Title: HASBRO Answers our latest Q&As!
Post by: Stealth Viper on October 22, 2010, 04:52:31 PM
Joecanuck Asked:

1) Why does POC Beach Head only come with one knife but have sheaths for two?

Hasbro Answered:

This was a mistake. The figure was originally supposed to come with two knives but the mistake was caught too late to fix.

Joecanuck Asked:

2) Is it true that Hasbro is including parts that pay homage to Predator and if pieced together will be a strong resemblance to one and if so, what is the recipe to create this?

Hasbro Answered:

A great chef never gives away his recipes!  Kidding aside, there was no plan to pay homage to this cult classic.

Joecanuck Asked:

3) Are some of the toys in POC ( namely some vehicles) designs that were brought forward from the aborted/abandoned Robot Rebellion sub-line?

The only design that made it into Pursuit of Cobra from Robot Rebellion were the G.I. Joe and Cobra Mech Suits.

I guess we are on our own when it comes to the Predator!  I'm sure it would have been a licence issue if they said yes....

I get that feeling as well.
Shame about that Beachhead missing a shank issue.

Next set of questions we have to ask if they will include an extra knife with a future figure to make up for the oner Beach Head is missing.

There should be a mail-away to give all owners the missing knife.

Interesting about the predator thing. But I agree, even if they were inspired by predator, they probably couldn't legally say anything about making a build-a-predator. Who knows?

The best answers I got were from a couple other sites. It appears the 25th line will continue in spirit as the 30th line come 2012. YAY!!!
Very good news, to say the least.

And also, Renegades figures will basically be a continuation of PoC! This is a big surprise to me. I thought for sure they would go in the cartoony clone wars direction, but I guess not. So we'll get PoC style figures continuing, focussing on renegades characters. Pretty cool. I will continue to pick and choose from that line, as I have thus far from PoC.

Only thing is, it looks like a bit of a drought will continue with only 2 PoC waves in the spring and the renegades inspired figures not coming til next fall. Okay by me though.

I just read the q and a's from about 7 other sites and I am stunned at the amount of information we just got concerning what's going on and coming down the pipe.  Renegades will be in poc style and articulation.  Explained why the jungle viper has white eyes, what beachead's leg computer does, why the hiss canopy is not clear, and why the vamp has a red undercarriage.  Running change is shipping now with black hiss tanks.  They plan on doing a 30th anniversary that "should please both the 25th and poc fans."  POC will continue past 4 waves.
