« on: August 20, 2007, 06:51:23 PM »

hey all, i have had luck in the last few years getting gi joe stuff at the comic expo:

http://www.hobbystar.com/ComicConToront ... C_Main.asp

There's always toy deallers there, though the prices aren't as good as good as the upcoming samko or action figure convention coming up. I mostly go there for the horror convention side of it

it's a fun (geeky) weekend

ok so no one missed anything great (for action figures) at the comic con. It wasnt' nearly as good for toys as previous years.

i think i picked up everything save for the few 25th anniversary figures taht were basically sold out the first day...at $15 a pop, too rich for my blood.

I did get 2 2packs of bats for my godson, and alot of micromen figures (2 catwomen, a batman & an remake of the original micromen) all for $5 each

There were lots of 20th anniversary snake eyes/scarlets or $10 each and picked one up for a present for my bro (he's a big snakeeyes fan).

I did get some horror stuff, and alot of things on doing casting (dvds & materials), and saw a hot girl dressed up as the baronness......so all in all a good weekend.

I usually go every year for the horror/scifi stuff, but this year I'm going to the Joe con in Atlanta instead. I can't afford both.
