I am so excited about this set, but if they don't do them accurately to their 80's special mission and pp counterparts I will be sorely disappointed.  I was in the middle of doing my own special missions set.  Got Mainframe pretty much done, and done some work on wetsuit.  Got claymore together just not painted.  I had already done de aco.  But I would really like this set if done accurately.

I think they need to get a little more creative instead of taking the safe road. Look at the CJC stuff. Aside from Backstop every character is new and so far I haven't heard anyone complain about them.

Rehashing Mission Brazil vs Python Patrol is the easy way out. Mind you, I bet we get some killer vehicles out of it.

The should build up on "The Plague" idea from Joe Vs Cobra or even some of their own stuff.

My first reaction to the set was yawn.  I already have these guys in 3 3/4 form.  Hence, I rather have new characters.  But I am interested in seeing how Sparta will be constructed.  The head sculpt from the comic is the only version that looks good.   

And I have read some where that the price of this years set has gone up?  Really?  I can buy into the argument that classic 3 3/4 figures would cost more as you need to hunt down the molds, create new ones as the originals are worn out etc.  But these are the new style figures.  Besides that some new heads and accessories need to be done, what other reason is there to increase the price of the set?  Oh, I bet the reason will be Disney but I am not fully buying that.

I don't mind brand new characters that fit into the mythos (like Canada Joe Con), but I want the characters from back in the day given the 25th treatment, I would especially like this brazil set not to be too far off.  I did really like (prefer actually) the python patrol copperhead we got before even though it wasn't that accurate.

be interesting to see what they do for the attendee exclusives, given 2009's included the SAF Hawk and Blades, the Commando Heroicos helo, and the CH characters and the 2010s were Dolphin, Jammer and Gaucho from AF...

$305 US for repaints of 25th molds I may have to pass.  We already got Brazil Leatherneck and Python Cobra troopers in the original 25th run.  The only figures I'd consider are the new additions to the set.

Nah, man, the single carded ones we got are the "officers" the troopers in the set will use the regular officer mold.  They were reversed in the Python Patrol sub team.  So of all the original python patrol members, the televiper and the trooper are the only two we haven't gotten yet.
