General Joe Talk / Re: GI Joe 2 to be released on August 10, 2012

I'm probably going to catch some shrapnel for this, but I really liked G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.  ;D

Okay, I didn't grow up with the 3-3/4" Joes and didn't know much about the history. As a film, I went into it with the expectation of being entertained; I parked my disbelief at the door and it all worked out for me. Could it have been smoother? Yeah but I still had a blast. I've got a DVD copy but I'm waiting for the Blu-ray price to drop to pick it up.

Not really sure about Chu though for the same reason others have mentioned. Can shooting dance scenes be compared to battle/fight scenes?  ???

There's a lot of Bravos left in Burlington Walmarts.

Wow. I got the cards in today and they are very cool. To all those involved, a great big thank you. Amazing quality. Fantastic stuff. I'm learning more and more around here about these 3 3/4 guys. Awesome.

Thanks for the comments. It really is a bit sloppy but only way to get better is to keep trying.

Martin, I totally agree. But, the great thing about paint is that if it chips, you get to paint it all over again  No young kids around to play with these but I do take everything out of the box/package. Someday the grandkids are really going to have a ball!

Thanks again all.

Cheers,

Customs / Rockslide
« on: June 06, 2010, 02:09:41 AM »
This is my feeble attempt at customizing the Rockslide. I painted the skis a darker grey and tried to add a dusting of snow. The missiles were also painted. I gave the interior a try and it's sloppy but I had fun trying.

This was what it looked like before I started.

For Sale or Trade / Re: Looking for 12" Joes

Well, if there are that many tables and the Joes are cheap, how the heck can I resist. I'm going to have to use extra fertilizer on that money tree. 8)

Oh man, that's a lot of Joes.  :o  Thanks for sharing that photo.  Yeah, I'd love more than a few things off that table. Now to go water that money tree - damned thing just doesn't want to grow!
