There was a live action series in the 90's too.

Action Man has a skinnier face than GI Joe, so he's not quite the same.  Oh, and the 90's version is but a pale comparison of his former glory.

That jungle tracker looks like homage to Nightmare (with a touch of predator.

Action force heads were smaller sculpts of Action Man so its quite possible, Mao. I thought the Joes were based on Marvel/Hasbro employees tho?

Thanks guys, I would point out that Aussie is the large island to the west of NZ, not the other way around. NEVER call a Kiwi an Aussie, its like calling a Cannuck a Yank. :)

Praise be to the Conchords....... I do wonder which country I am representing tho. Any Aussies or Kiwi's lurking about here?

Kia Ora, The Baron suggested I come over here for a look, I post over at BFTB and AMHQ. I'm also pretty busy doing colouring work for BFTB and Jamar as well as the odd custom figure. I was quite surprised at the response I got here for the Kraken and Death of the HAWK, so I've signed up. I've been a bit wary of Joe sites, but here I am.

I'm not an Aussie, but a Kiwi. I'm sure Sundance can fill you in on the difference.  ;D  I grew up reading Battle Action Force, GI Joe (occasionally) and collecting Toltoys Action Men as well as Action Force. Both the 12" and 3 3/4" variety. I'm trying to piece together a history of Toltoys but it isn't easy. More on that in the future I'm sure.

I'll drop a pic of my collection after I've had a look around.
