Title: What makes a convention figure?
Post by: martin-montreal on April 03, 2014, 08:46:42 PM
As seen on YoJoe:

I'll chime in on this.

The CanJoeCon figures are as official as any of the pre-factory produced figures starting in the late 90s. That is to say, as legitimate as the DeSimone figures.

The CanJoeCon figures had Hasbro Canada endorsement as mass assembled customs. These were not dedicated or shared production figures, nor were they made in a factory. They are, for all intents and purposes, customs.

Really, super-duper customs, but customs. Legit customs. But customs.

So, they will go into the convention figure section OR the international section as what they are, right along side the DeSimone figures. They're Canadian so...likely the international archives.

They're official, but with an asterisk.

I've got con sets. If they need photos, I'll take 'em.

I'll also need a proper light and backdrop. If anyone has suggestions of what to grab, I can hit the camera shop on the weekend.

I would love to help but I don't own any con sets.
Keep up the good work Martin!
