Customs / Custom Steel Brigade
« on: February 11, 2013, 08:59:19 PM »
When I started collecting,  my goal was to only get what I liked. And, what I liked was easy: Accurate soldiers like Falcon, Stalker, Duke, etc. Then I went into the tan soldiers : Tan grunt, Tan Clutch, Doc, etc. Then into Night force then I got Starduster (talked about a realistic soldier  ::) ).

Since Hasbro is not making o-ring figs anymore (the only type I collect), I'm making customs by switching parts to keep my hobby alive.

I wasn't a big fan of the Steel Brigade. In fact, I never own one before. You read it right... "before". That means I got 2 and I'm now looking for the one with Airborne's torso. Ever wanted to know who was behind the masks of the Steel Brigade? So, here are my two customs:

My goal is to get Duke's head to put on one of these body then use Airborne's head to put on Steel Brigade V1A.

Since we can't edit our post anymore, see here my most up-to-date want list if you can help: http://forums.yojoe.com/wanted/70746-martin-montreals-want-list.html

What do you think?

General Joe Talk / Steel brigade price?
« on: January 27, 2013, 10:31:30 AM »
Are they price differences for each version of SB?

V1A: Airborne torso: Looks rarer since all the rest got Duke's torso... more pricey?
V1B: Looks not bad with his black holster, but his waist is boring
V1C: Boring legs (holster not painted) and boring waist... worst version IMHO
V1D: Best waist, but boring legs (holster not painted)... not bad looking.
V1E: Has all the fun: painted holster and great waist (detailed belt)... second more pricey?

General Joe Talk / Best / worst Christmas gift
« on: January 05, 2013, 12:10:11 PM »
Hey guys,

Since Christmas is behind us, what are the best (and worst) toys your kids (or you  ;) ) got this year?

For our family, this year best toys are Playmobil. Nice toys, great quality and a lot of fun!!! These were immediate success:

My rating: 12/10  ;D

The worst? Best-Lock... or as I'm now calling these... Best-Luck!

My rating: 0/10  >:(

I wish you Best-luck finding a box with no broken, melted or missing parts in it. Both boxes we got had issue. For the future, I will stick with LEGO... this review says everything: http://www.yankeerino.com/bestlockblocksreview.bhs
