I'll be there.  I've been to all of the Montreal ToyCons so far. ;D

Hey Snakes, how come we never met then? Well maybe we did but we just never bothered to introduce ourselves properly. We'll get that chance this year. I'll try to wear a Tee or something that says Latinjoe22 or simply "22". That's how you'll recognize me. So don't forget to come and say HI  unless you want me to recognize you first somehow  .

Roger that!  I'll wear a black sweater with a G.I.JOE logo, and a maybe a fedora for maximum identifiability.

Sna-a-a-a-ake Plisken,

If you notice someone who can barely stand on his two feet at his table, and can't stop yawning...uh that's me okay?

Man I can't wait for the 2nd and 3rd of May!  ;D

Hey Snakes,

It was a pleasure to meet you at the Montreal Toy Con, I hope that the next year will be a better year for you to join us at the 2010 Canadian Joe Convention. Judging from your filecard, you're one of us ;D!

Thanks for stopping by to say HI at the Toy Con and for your support, next show is in November and I'll have different stuff so hope to see you there ( therefore bring more troops with you and make sure they also have plenty of ammunition to spend too LOL you know what I mean )!

Alright, maybe I`ll go see. Thanks for the info. So what is the main appeal of these things; are their good prices or is it the variety or something else?

For me, it's more of the experience.  There's a lot to see, including things like Qu?LUG's display [Quebec Lego club], the costuming, customs, and of course, the room FULL OF TOYS!  You can find a lot of different things there from all sorts of different series and years (some guys have buckets of assorted loose figures).

I guess with the internet, this sorta thing might feel a bit redundant since you can just buy whatever you want online and have it shipped to your door.  But, I really enjoy the fun of lining up for the ToyCon, browsing all of the great things that people are selling, rummaging through the boxes of comics, and meeting people/running into people you know.  Isn't that right, latinjoe22? ;D

I,m sorry who are you again? Just kidding! Yep you summarized the very experience of a good convention.

The way I see it, if you can't find anything good at all, it's still the atmosphere and the whole experience that you'll find there that will make an event memorable or simply fun to attend. This is one of them in my books.
