Question for Hasbro:

When can we expect to see a new Cover Girl aka Agent Courtney Krieger in ARAH classic style to complete our 25th anni collection? (she is practically the last remaining figure to cover off the '82-84 period).

(The 2006 DD comic pack version looks like a nice figure that would be compatible, but is so scarcely available the average collector here can't rely on that alone to complete their collection.)

Well, if we're dropping ideas, I have a bunch. Might as well list them so I don't forget.

1) The cardboard dioramas that come in multipacks rock! Is there any way to have the designs and building instructions available on Hasbro's website, for those who missed out on the sets or could not afford them?

2) Considering the success of Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Mega Bloks Spider-Man and Mega Bloks HALO, has Hasbro given any consideration to reviving the Built To Rule toyline, using smaller figurines instead of regular Joe figures with brick connectors on their limbs?

3) With Pursuit of Cobra, two of the four environments feature a notable specialist of said environment, Snow Job for Arctic Threat and Recondo for Jungle Assault. Will the Desert Battle and City Strike environments feature such specialists, like Dusty and Shock(wave)blast?

4) During the last Q&A, you said Pursuit Of Cobra would show up in "the back half of 2010". Does this mean we'll be without new G.I.Joe figures until June 2010?

5) In the past few years, Hasbro has gotten extra mileage out of toolings by sharing them between their 3 3/4" toy lines (Geonosis Arena became Conquest of Cobra Mountain, Mustafar Final Duel became the Lost Temple of Akator, Roadblock's gatling gun was reused on a Clone Trooper, Indiana Jones's whip was shared with Croc Master, the Hydra Soldier used Snake-Eyes' webgear, etc). What kind of guidelines must be followed for these things to happen? Can we ever expect the Clone Turbo Tank to show up, modified, as a big mean Cobra machine, or the older Theed Generator playset to be turned into a Pulse Cannon Generator (where Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow had their final duel in the Rise of Cobra movie) or any other such cross-brand retoolings?

Actually, I think this is a good idea. We can eliminated or fine tune those questions that are too long (like your last one Jay), and come "submitting time" we should have a better idea on what to submit for 'that' round.

as for you last question there Jay, it could also be re-worded as:

What kind of guidelines must be followed for certain items (ie: Roadblocks gun being used on a Clone Trooper)to be used in another "brand"?

With a follow up question that can also be asked on it's own (since you're original one contained two questions).

The questions we've been asking are getting pretty long. I'd like to see them get shorter, and I'm sure Hasbro would as well since they have many sites and questions to go through.

I think I also had a role to play in submitting questions that are too long since I started to get involved in the ASK HASBRO threads. I have a hard time to summarize but I will do an extra effort for the next times, and also, I'll try to learn from the rest of the guys

It's not just you LJ22, and it's not just Jay, I was merely using his post as an example since it was in this thread and was the most recent.

I see it across plenty of boards - and not just G.I. Joe ones.

While I'm all for people posting the questions however they want, I just think we, as a group or the staff should try to narrow it down to the main question and if there's 2 or more questions in the question - then it should be split up as so.  ;D

I don't even understand what you're talking about in your first two.   ???

The thing is, I'd love to make my questions shorter... but I fear if I don't cite examples, the Q&A people are going to misinterpret the question. That's why I mentionned in particular Cobra Mountain and Akator.

Same with the "specialists" question, really.

That's what you get for not paying attention. :p

But seriously, question 1 is about the nice cardboard dio pieces being included in ROC multipacks, like the MARS hallway/door from the MARS 3-pack, or the PIT hangar from the Attack Of The PIT 5-pack, or the MARS base docks from the Rescue Mission 4-pack. Question 2 is about Built To Rule, Hasbro's attempt at building block toys back in 2003.

Why should we be concerned about the length of the question?

Hasbro has shown time and again in these Q&As, that if they have the ability to give a KISS answer, they will. The longer and more thought out a question is the harder it can be for them to supply replies that avoid answering the actual submitted questions. At the very least it puts a larger onus on them to provide a more detailed answer.

If we honestly want to use these Q&As to get information from Hasbro, then a better caliber of questioning from the fans, would hopefully push Hasbro to respond with more than the "hey great question, things are in the works, keep your eyes open." answers that tell us nothing.

I'm not saying not to detail your question, of course you should explain yourself. Just that we don't have to make it a paragraph in length OR contain 2 or 3 questions simply to ask the one question. We're allowed to submit 3 questions. Trying to sneak in two or three questions within your one question doesn't fall in line with what Hasbro has stated - that we can submit THREE questions.

That's fine, but my last question was aimed more towards vehicles and playsets than guns, so if you do use the modified version, I'd be thankful if you could change it to this:

What kind of guidelines must be followed for certain items (ie: The Geonosis Arena being used for the Conquest on Cobra Mountain) to be used in another brand?

I like that one. ;-) It's a perfect example of shortening the question without a paragraph. :-)
