Sorry I havn't been on the site for a while but if there is a store I've never seen it, I live not far from Brockville and often travel there and through via highway #2.

Do other parts of the country actually get these? I saw the Viper one once, other than that all I've seen is Smokescreen. That's between three Zellers and Three Walmarts.

I just don't post a lot myself. The ones who know me from the JoeCustoms board know that I don't post much over ther anymore either. I think that it's just the fact I don't have the same passion for Joes anymore.

Zellers never has cared about their toy department. The one in Kingston, or was it Brockville, still has at least 3 Optimal Optimuses on clearance for the low, low price of $45. That $45 for a toy thats been on the shelves for about 6 years!

I recently got a couple of Gundam figures at one that I had had my eye on since before Christmas! I don't think there has been a toy shipment to any of the three in my area in six months. Do you know how tired I get of looking at the exact same toys on every visit. I activily collect three things: Joes, Gundam, and Zoids. None of which are carried anymore.

Ontario / Joes in Kingston

I take it you're talking about the walmart in the Frontanac Mall. Yeah, Kingston is pretty baren for joes. Also in the area, Brockville had none at last look and the new walmart in Smith Falls still had a bunch of VvV wave one. The TRU is the only in the area.

I've seen picture of the toys and like Loop said, they look like their own bootlegs. Between these and those early DBZ figures, I sometimes wonder how this can be the same company that produces the Gundam toys.

I do like the show however.

Too bad he didn't get some of the fake bids, he deserved it just for the laughs. Hey $3850 isn't bad though.

Yeah I find it confusing going to different places when I log in and I only have three aliases. My original one (Greengiant), my joe one (Techno Viper T17), and a new one I've settled into (Shadow Weaver).

Crusher looks quite nice. I like the tatoo, it's an interesting detail that fits a Dreadnok. Zaranna has a nice paint job as well. The joes, hmmm, honestly, they're starting to grow on me.

General Joe Talk / Would you ever buy a broken crotch Joe?
« on: April 18, 2004, 10:23:31 PM »
I used tobuy busted figures to add to my collection, but at the time there was no Ebay or anything like that available (I still don't use it). Of another reason is that finding figures at all in my area is pretty rare.

I think there could also another reason that contributes to this: burnout. I keep hearing about how older collector feel burnt out. We know that there is a lot of fly-by-night collector right now. They tend to burn themselves out very quickly, but unlike long time collectors, they don't come back after a break. That just leaves army building which seems to be the big thing right now.
