Ok, heres my take on Funskool.

A) Their cheap in quality but also cheap in price which makes it a nice way to build joe or cobra armies on the cheap.
B) I find that some Funskool figures look much better than others. For example as has been pointed out the night viper and cg immortal are decent quality and mesh in very well with arah army building.

When I started recollecting Joes I basically had to start my collection from scratch and some of the first purchases I made were funskool because of the fact that you could buy misb and moc arah stuff for cheap. I really like the vehicles as well. Some of them look almost as good as their arah counterparts such as the fang, claw, weapons transport, and sky striker.

Sometimes the shipping can be a bit slow, thats not a complaint just something people encountered with them. Still worth it. bigbadtoystore used to have all the Funskool vehicles but they sold out years ago. Same for smalljoes.

Muskrat88, HQ is a great site and their customer service is A1. Problem is he doesn't have much Funskool stuff although that MOC Baroness is tempting.

BTW, someone found some obscure site which has some funskool vehicles including a brown variant of the bomb disposal which I have never seen before. Ill try and find the link.

yeah "gun boats" I don't remember the exact name of the thing but it was a greenish military boat and the Toys R us had a virtual wall of them in their action figure section at one point.

I think 150 of any army builder looks impressive, weapons or not. Actually the whole fun of winning this auction would be to find weapons to arm these guys with. After all range vipers are supposed to be self sufficient and use whatever they can get their hands on so having them all armed with different weapon assortments would be really cool. The winner of this auction got a great deal in the end. It's amazing the kind of deals you can find on E-Bay during con season.  

I agree Scramble, Taurus looks the best out of the three of them.

Last time I made a round to Toys R Us was like a year or so ago and I remember them having a TON of those gun boats otherwise there was nothing. I don't even bother checking Toys R us anymore because of their lack of Joe/Chapmei selection and rediculous prices. Talk about price skimming. I think they were selling the green Kamakura bikes for $12 each. Enough said.

Hi everyone. Mark me down as another Montreal based Joe fan. I admit I don't post here nearly often enough. I'm always hanging out at Joesightings and tend to lurk over at Joecustoms. I really need to start posting here more often. Anyway, I have met Custo and Scramble at that Joe meet at Legends last year and look forward to seeing you guys again.
