What? You mean you didn't know that the Firebat was the little shuttlebus to the control deck of the Terrordrome?  :lol:

3. Suppose you wanted to use the Firebat - there is no way to get to the Firebat launch area to get into it from inside the Terrordrome.

You'd have to fire a grappling hook up and climb to the upper deck, partially open the launch doors, drop down into the tunnel, get in, have someone else climb up to the upper deck to finish the launch sequence, then kill them with your jet exhaust.

This isn't as big a thing on the flag, as a portion of it is cut off at the sides. You can imagine all the necessary superstructure like stairs and stuff are in the parts that aren't actually there. But the Terrordrome is a complete circle. It needs to have everything included.

There are 2 big problems with the terrordrome - but one cancels out the other.

1. The fire blasting out of the firebat would kill everyone on the upper deck, which is designed to funnel the jet exhaust directly into the workstations below.

2. This isn't a problem though, because there is absolutely no way to get to the upper deck. No stairs, no ladder, no elevator.

General Joe Talk / Re: Crazy and bizarre new army builder on eBay??
« on: April 23, 2011, 11:38:48 AM »
The way that this sort of offer has emerged in the past, is by being "dumpster dive" specials.

The figures themselves were likely tossed for QC reasons and generally they are sprayed with paint or otherwise disfigured (heh) so that they can't be mistaken for figures that pass qc. You can, however, if you are willing to spend a lot of time with a screwdriver and know the right people, pull all the parts that don't have paint on them, and piece together a few completed figures free of disfiguring paints.

+ ebay = Profit.

Off Topic / Where to buy transformers parts
« on: April 15, 2011, 10:20:04 AM »
I am looking for a store, flea market or something like that with a bin of transformers parts that I can dig through for custom fodder. I need to be able to measure things for fit, so the internet thing isn't really working for me.

Does anyone know of such a place?

I have also hopped on the great trade with Bandonov train!

He had me by, giving me a great chance to speed down the 401, and served me up a Unicron in perfect condition for me to carve up for a project that I am undertaking. Very reasonable price, and since I didn't end up with a ticket, cheaper than shipping.  ;D

He's a great guy, and we chatted for a little while before I had to run. I'd deal with him again or head out with him for a coffee anytime.

Items Wanted / Unicron
« on: April 06, 2011, 10:23:58 AM »
Hi all,

I am looking for the Armada or Energon Unicron (big orange or blue transformers robot) for a custom. Needs to have both chest pieces, arms and legs, but I don't need the planet parts, the grey ring or the missiles, so it can be incomplete. I would prefer the joints be in reasonably good condition, but used (even by kids) is fine.

I do need it to be non smoking and non stinking though.  ;D

I am willing to trade joe stuff, do custom work or pay cash for it. Let me know if you have one and are willing to part with it.

Items Wanted / Re: Xevoz
« on: March 31, 2011, 01:45:10 PM »
Cribbed from wikipedia - for more information go here: http://www.figurerealm.com/cjktoybay/Xe ... xevoz.html

Xevoz (pronounced: ZEE-vohs) are a line of action figures made by Hasbro. They were developed using a joint design and construction style licensed from the STIKFAS  action figure line. The toys are noted for having posable, interchangeable body parts, and for being of generally high quality and aesthetic appeal. Xevoz enthusiasts particularly enjoy the high degree of customization options to which the toys lend themselves. Four waves of figures were released in the United States

Species

The figures in the Xevoz line are divided into 8 species.

    * Neo Sapiens (Humans)
    * Meta-Beasts (Mammalians)
    * Sectoids (Insects)
    * Hyperfuries (Elementals)
    * Biomechas (Cyborgs)
    * Unnaturals (Undead)
    * Reptosaurs (Reptilians)
    * Arcasters (originally named Runics) (Sorcerers)

A special "gag" piece was included in most of the Xevoz kits. These pieces were usually irrelevant to the kit itself but were humorous nonetheless.

[edit] Wave 1 Gag Pieces

    * Bone Cutter: Lightbulb head
    * Razorclaw: boxing gloves
    * Alpha Ranger: Head with bowtie
    * Shadow Blade: SCUBA Diving parts
    * Sledge Trooper: Disfigured human hand

[edit] Wave 2 Gag Pieces

    * Dune Stinger: Parasite, Sombrero head
    * Hemo Goblin: Small bat-wings, Nosferatu head
    * Transcorcher: Brain in a jar
    * Shock Berserker: Magnet hand
    * Sky Grinder: Jester head

Wave 3 Gag Pieces

    * Storm Wing: Chicken head
    * Shield Breaker: Hockey Stick
    * Quick Slinger: "Kick Me" sign
    * Crypt Curse: Chicken stick
    * Preda Crawler: Teddy Bear head
    * Cryro Katana: Snowman head

[edit] Wave 4 Gag Pieces

    * Thunder Shaman: Monkey head with Fez hat, Banana peel
    * Hyper Guardian: Dumbbell
    * Franken' Punker: Guitar
    * Fire Drake: Anvil, Chinese dragon head

The toy had sigma 6 like asthetics, applied to all the genres of geekdom. There were fire elementals, Frankenstein monsters, pirate skeletons, cowboys, solders, ninjas, punks, cats, gorillas, ice creatures, vampires, and more.

You could combine the parts, and use the gag parts to create genre crossing fun figures, then use the included game pieces to "battle" enabling your ninja to hit your cowboy with a sword, and your monkey to fling a banana at your 50's style robot.  The game was kind of lame, but the toys were awesome.

You can create a zombie ninja pirate cyborg space monkey with an electric guitar. Do you need to know any more?

Hello all,

I am looking for Xevoz - complete loose figures or even bags of excess parts. If you have some let me know and I'll see if we can work something out.

Check out ODIN from the new Thor line. I think that that might be a good base body for the Predator. Add the arms from Beachhead and go.
