General Joe Talk / Any weird shipping stories?

This should be a lesson to you all. Use barbie wrapping paper. Customs will not touch anything in Barbie wrapping paper.

Sounds good. Other than the fact that there will be a newborn child in my home for the first time, I have nothing else planned. I would suggest the latter half of the month, as it's less likely to be complicated by labor.

Inside is better than outside. People bring stuff to these things, and I'd hate to see it rain on our parade.

On figures. I was thinking that we could all do customs, shoot Loop's dio, and do a draw for the lot. Everyone that puts one in the pot gets a shot at taking them all away.

LBC's allowed, and if you forget, Mike has a parts bin. For everyone that feels like they can't do it, you're a headswap away from doing a custom. I'll even bring my screwdriver. Catch is that you also have to name it.

That's cheap, and gives us all a reason to put something together. (And some pictures to post to the board...)

I would really like to see more customs at the con this year. Maybe an on scene dio shoot or something. It was cool to stand around and talk, but now that I've done that, I kind of thing that doing something more activity based would be fun... Customizing on site would be fun too.

I am in as much as I can be, but keep in mind that I have a little one coming out in late Aug early Sept, so I might not be able to help as much as I'd like to.

Any date that's not September is good for me, but if you want to start anything by August of this year, you'd better get moving on it.

General Joe Talk / The DoJo 2 Up Prototype
« on: April 23, 2004, 12:53:17 PM »
The Mortal Combat 2 ups were released by a knock off company. I've been trading off my collection of 2up Sonya Blades slowly through the last 5 years, and I'm finally out of them (I hope).

2 up joes and similar figs are often copied by cheap companies, and realeased as knockoffs. I assume that if your's is a hand painted resin, it's real, but I would be very careful before buying one online.

I've seen a 2up of an original cobra commander, but I'm not sure if it was a knockoff or an original. Either way, they are an interesting and unique artifact.

Ontario / VvV wave 2 in WM

They're in Stoney Creek, but they're hidden in with the transformers overstock and LOTR markdowns at the back left corner of the row. They haven't even put prices out on them yet.

Good luck finding them, but they have 2 of each, minus the Bat V4 that I took for myself...

Nice Dios. THe coils look a little funny in that pose for some reason. Also, I take it that you use the Mortars that came with the IG's as sort of a hand cannon, rather than a mortar...

Raptor: I play Oldschool MTG myself, so you get props for the Tempest box...

General Joe Talk / What do you think of the new Cobra Six pack?
« on: March 01, 2004, 09:04:20 PM »
Hey, look at me posting.

I have to honestly say that this may be one of the best things that Hasbro has ever done. I keep looking at them out of package, and... well there just seems to be so many of them. 6 figures for $20 is a great deal, and as you can see, they just can't keep them on the shelves. In fact, they may have created a product that they can't flood the market with, because demand keeps rising.

I hate the guns and the backpacks, but I have enough weapons pack AK's to arm my group. I have to honestly say that I actually like collecting joe again. Now I need a Night Force pack, and I'm good for the year... LOL

Raptor: A six pack in each hand and a smile on my face.
