For Sale or Trade / Re: joes for sale
« on: May 03, 2010, 09:10:00 AM »
Indeed. Or I would tell him to hold out until the hobby recovers some value. Nothing is really worth anything anymore, unless it was an exclusive somewhere.

The majority of his figures would go in the 3$-5$ range. Broken figures (save o ring) are just not worth anything (Looking at you broken thumb $30 duke). Your tan grunts and silver grand slams can be had for $20 or less right now so an incomplete Tripwire isn't going to command that kind of money.

Incomplete or broken vehicles are also not really worth anything, unless they are really hard to find, such as night force or sky patrol, and even then it's patchy. You'll likely find half of the vehicles that he has listed in the condition that he has listed them on the Free Table at the Canuck meet.

So I know that you are doing this for him because you are a stand up guy (and I will vouch for that) but he's not going to get any action on these.

Chacal all the way. I love that he's just a dude doing his job. That Larry Hama guy could go far doing this kind of stuff.

Does that help cover off the need?

And a 'pouts' one.

Why? Because I think the work people put into this thing month in and month out should be applauded, or at the very least given a comment on the job they did?

Each month, I'm amazed at the excellent work the people that submit things for the newsletter do. They take the time to sit down and produce something new to "give back" to the Joe Community.

I think that deserves a comment after they read it. Don't you?

Meh. I laughed at the pout comment and gave him a timbit.

It's a 17 page newsletter, people need time to read all that content before they can comment. I haven't even finished it yet. ;-)

Granted if no one commented on it after 2 weeks I would use the pout icon myself.

We're still defining the Canuckverse, so I suspect that anything that you write can be retconed in. ;-)

Cambridge had the same wave, same price. I picked up the ones that I passed on earlier.

It is not often you get yelled at by a sluty vampire, so I enjoyed it.

The quarrel is as fantastic as the bike is crap! That Jet storm is a real stinker.

I am very impressed with your current work.

So some more stock answers to our half hearted questions? Do we pull the plug on this?

Or maybe we should ask vintage line questions?

eg: Why did you choose to go with a pink bordered card for the 90's ninja and space themed figures?

Seriously though, either we should change this up or pull the plug.

Off Topic / Re: X-MEN ORIGINS WOLVERINE variants?

Ha. I will remember that I owe you a visit, but I was really very briefly stopping on my way elsewhere when I found them.

Someone else has my tastes. I wish I'd scored more cyclopses though, they are going to make a great army builder.

Also, if you see the Movie Sabertooth or Iceman figures, pick them up. Best in the line.
