Data Viper cancelled

Q and A at the fighting 118th reveal that data viper is cancelled.  I thought he was a good injection of something new, wasn't my cup of tea but I know a lot of people will be disappointed in this.  Perhaps he will show up in the GIJCC figure subscriptions?

DAmn, Even though it was not the Best Looking Figure, I wanted to Army Build that anyway.  It does look that it may be come a subscription figure now.

Why do they do this?  When I saw the figures displayed at joecon, I thought, "how many of these will actually get done and not get cancelled?"  It makes no sense.  I liked the dataviper a lot but not enough to pay 30 bucks for it from the club.

Disappointing, as that was the figure I was most looking forward to.
But my experience in collecting says that it'll appear again at some point down the road.

It would be nice if they included him in a small playset (crosses fingers) or multi-figure pack in the future.

Well they did say it didn't make the 30th anniversary cut so I'm holding hope it makes the movie line.  If not I'd still pay if it came in a set like the Target exclusive stuff did.  To me it's a modern Tele Viper that is chock full of awesomeness!  It's a little odd looking but it does have function in the field as long as it didn't have to engage the enemy close.
