Questions about the 2008 canuck con?
« on: August 14, 2007, 08:48:18 AM »

I'm trying to gather info to see if I can make the canuck con. If I can find out when, where, and how much it costs I can get a basic idea of how much I'll need to save to get to Canada.

It will be held on April 19th.

It will be either in Hamilton, Ontario or Burlington, Ontario (the cities neighbour each other)

Last year's admission was $3 (No exclusive figure) or $25 (with exclusive figure). I can't say for certain if Mike is keeping it the same, but I hope so.

If it's in Hamilton, those prices should be the same.
If it's in Burlington (likely), then it will be $5.00 and $25.00 respectively.

My wife seems to think I wont need a passport to get into Canada. I tell her she is a liar. She rabbit punches me in the kidney.

Who knows. It changes daily doesn't it?

If you're flying, I think you need one 100%.

Driving?... No clue.

Flying, you need a passport now.

Driving, you don't need one until June, 2009.

Check the flight cost to Hamilton, Toronto and Buffalo.  I may be cheaper to fly to Buffalo, rent a car and drive up. Just a suggestion.

If all goes as I hope it will - there will be a hotel AT the Joe Meet.

Yes yes.... it's moving again. ;-)

I'm looking at either the Holiday Inn in Burlington (just outside of Hamilton), or the Marriott on Upper James in Hamilton - just down the road from last years location.

I hope to have solid news soon. ;-)
