Title: Zellers sale Nov. 13th-19th.
Post by: canprime on November 13, 2009, 10:38:48 AM
So there is a sale this week.  25% off all JOE figures/vehicles.  While not great on some items, it does knock down the price to a more reasonable amount for some things.

Of course the Target exclusive packs are now down to $22.50.
The PP Conquest & TF Tiger Rat are down to $22.50
The Rhino is now $60.

So while not too bad, it is still better than full price.  Especially those jets.  However I will wait until a better deal, at least 30% off, for the jets.

That's the part that is driving me nuts. I just paid $22.50 for that Serpent Armor set when for the exact same money I could have bought another Tiger Rattler. Man, if it wasn't fior the fact that I'm affraid these will dry up fast I would probably have passed on it for now.

So if I bought some RoC stuff in the last week and still have my receipt, can I get a price adjustment? How?

Just bring your receipt to the customer service desk and let them know that these items are now on sale.  They'll check the SKUs and refund the difference.

Take the receipts to customer service and let them know you would like a price adjustment for the items that are on sale.  I did it this morning no problem.  I used the savings to get my 3rd Serpent Armor.  AWESOME ITEM!!!!!!!

Yep. Just did that. Brought my receipt from earlier this week to Customer Service (with a copy of their flyer to be safe) and they did it no problem

Basically they just re-enter the item sku and it shows up as the sale price, so they just do an adjustment. Got $16.95 back from 2 SNAKE Armors I purchased on Tues.

I assumed the same thing as well.  It doesn't look like these will be re-stocked in the USA.  It has been almost two months since they were released in Target stores.

The Zellers were I picked up the Serpent Armours had 8 of them.  None of the other sets are even moving, which isn't a good sign.  But some Greek army building plague wiped out 5 Serpent Armours due to the sale.   :shifty:

Yeah, the local Zellers (Eglinton/Birchmount) put out for of each from this wave.  I picked up 3 Serpent Armors and 1 Rocket Pack.  When I went back to price adjust the other Serpent was gone, but nothing else.  I imagine this will be common.

The Zellers at Finch and Warden had plenty of the Serpent Armours.  It looks like the same shipment that the Zellers at Cedarbrae Mall received.

I caved and bought a Night Raven due to the sale.  For 30 bucks, that it isn't bad of a price considering what TRU sells them for.

Of course the Target exclusive packs are now down to $22.50.

That still sounds like a rip-off to me.

Aren't those things only ~$10 USD at Target in the US?

Not $10... it was supposed to be $17.99... but it is $15 (USD)! So $22.50 (CAD) is not too bad. Even if you want to buy from USA, $15 + shipping will bring you to $22 and more.

The Rescue Mission 4 pack is $26 and completely worth it.

The Target exclusives are US$9.99 here. The Rescue set is US$19.99. None include local taxes.

Just in case any of you are insane like me... a warning, Storm Shadow's Arashikage Cycle still features the larger footpegs of VvV figures on the bike pedals.

Wow, playing with the Resolute style snake eyes from the rescue pack, and I am - underwhelmed.

He's got problems with standing up on his own, and the head juts out at a SHS wolverine like angle. the hands are loose and floppy and at a weird angle, which makes it hard to hold his weapons and feels fragile (like the reactive armor male figures).

I am not understanding the press this guy got...

Must have got a bad one. My carded CS SE has tight joints, and poses great.  Holds all his stuff just fine. One of the best figures in the line in my eyes.

Maybe city strike uses different plastic, and the head ball sits on a different angle?

I'd put him at better than the first movie one, but far behind Paris Persuit.

If you're looking to get a price reduction on some product you bought previously, be aware that apparently it is Zeller's policy that they only honour their sale prices as far back as the previous flyer.

That is, if you bought the items 2 weeks ago, they won't price match theur sale price.  Or so I learned this weekend.

That is BS.

Just return the item and re-buy it then, if they want to play that game.

Just keep your receipt. They will only give you the lowest price on the item that has been paid that year by *anyone* in thier computer system (including price matches) if you don't have a receipt.

If you do, they aren't that bad about it - but since I was out of the 2 week window I did have to return and rebuy the figures that I wanted the discount on.

Zellers has a 30 day period for returns.  So just play the game then.

Even before finding out what they are going for at Target, I felt the new vehicle packs seemed high, still picked up a Snake Armor, Rocket Pack and Dragonfish.  But man, what a rip we get, these should be 15 bucks here, reg price is 29.99 way over priced, nice toys but man...expensive.  I'm tempted to pick up another RHINO on sale for those prices.

Better still, I am going to pick up one of the items they wouldn't honour at Wal-mart and take that one back.

But thanks.  I'm glad I'm not the only one willing to push back.
