Wow, you've got a lot of cool customs there, Nighthawk!

As for your newest one... well, Red Laser is Japanese and this guy doesn't look Japanese, so I'm going to say CLAWS Commander. ;)

yep, amazing stuff. I'm not sure how I missed this post way back when, but I love it. I even like your Sarge custom even though I'm not a big sarge fan. Love that modified night specter, as well as the scrap iron generic trooper.

Quote from: "nighthawk"
I started off making this into the Cobra C.L.A.W.S. Commander.

After finishing it, I kinda thought that the uniform makes him still really recognizable as Cobra Commander.  So, I'm kinda torn between calling him Cobra C.L.A.W.S. Commander or Red Laser.

What do you guys think?  C.L.A.W.S. Commander or Red Laser?

I think it's a CLAWS Commander to me more than a Red Laser. Can you do something to the helmet so that he looks a bit more like a Red Laser? How about taking a ROC Mars Trooper helmet instead, I don't know, it must be the head that is 100% CLAWS's that is bothering me. Otherwise, pretty good initiative.

An all black mask and visor would be cool too!

Black Out
parts:
head, goggles, belt: 2003 Spytroops Black Out
Rest of figure: TRU ROC Troop builder set Duke

I know the necks don't necessarily match color with the heads, but I don't want to bother painting and have the paint chip off later.

I had to modify the belt to fit Black Out.  I put it on backwards so he wouldn't have two holsters on one side.

Awesome updates of the 2 Spytroops characters. I'm glad that someone is keeping them alive in the new joe universe. Blackout is my favorite one of the two. Really, well done Nighthawk, keep it up.

EDIT: And +1 fer you

Ripcord and Blowtorch were my favourite vintage figures.  I finally got a Blowtorch that I really like (except I still have to fix his legs).

Now, I finally have a nice Ripcord to put together with Blowtorch.

I didn't like the AoCI head that was used.  When I saw the POC Joe Mech driver's head, I thought it would be perfect for Ripcord.  I had made another one before using Rook's head, but the head was too big to fit the helmet and mask so this one's perfect.

I wanted the hose to connect to something so I drilled the end of Ripcord's hose and plugged it to the end of ROC Eels' oxygen tank hose and then modified the parachute pack and the tank to fit each other.

It wasn't till after taking the pictures that I realized the tank was not black!  haha.  Oh well.  I'd rather not paint and I'm happy with it.  Not everything has to be black.

I gave him Tomax's wrist piece so it looks like he has an altimeter.
