30th Joes starting to appear
« on: September 07, 2011, 05:01:22 PM »

Now, don't get TOO excited, folks.....yet.
Local comic shops and specialty collector stores that carry Joes should have the first 30th wave in stores today. My LCS had them ( Prairie province) and I picked up three: Stalker, Viper and Hazard-Viper.
Also, my spy-inside TRU told me that " a new assortment" of Joes is due sometime soon at TRU. This could be the 30th wave appearing on or around the reported Sept 20 street date.

Some folks bemoan not being able to find these at say.....Walmart, and yes this news is not in that light. BUT if you have a LCS near you, check them out. If you have a TRU, stand by for further heads-ups.

Just a little bit of extra info: the cards.

The cardbacks  for these 30th figures showing up are all in English language AND they clearly have Hasbro Canada printed on them. Based on my collecting experience, that is usually an indicator of a mass-retailer carrying them.

I think that is just Hasbro Legal being proactive.   Hasbro Canada said at the CJC that only Zellers is going to carry the full line up of GI Joe.  Not sure if they said Walmart and TRU are going to carry the figures if any.   Does anyone else remember what that Hasbro Rep said at her booth?

Walmart is going to have figures, no vehicles, Zellers will have everything, TRU had bits and pieces (if I remember correctly).

So do the SDCC Starscream and Zaranas.   Doesn't  mean anything,

Picked up a Hazard-Viper from a collector shop in a mall in Quebec.  Sweet figure.

Hi all--

Just bumping this up with some more info, new wave of 30th Joes ( the one with the Renegades Storm Shadow) is due in this week with comic shops and specialty retailers. This wave MIGHT also appear this week at larger mass-retailers as well ( TRU, Walmart, Zellers etc). My LCS ( prairie province) has listed them as arriving this week, which I take as a confirm.
Of course, , numerous Cdn on-line retailers have announced in advance that they are also getting them this week as well, so the conjunction of on-line and specialty stores, might weigh in favour of mass-retail getting them.

..and just in time for X-mas, no less. ;)

Yeah the U.S. versions also have the Hasbro Canada details.
