Hey all.  Squishy Duck Man is back, an I honestly can't believe I haven't been around since 2004 on these boards.  AAAAAAAAAanyway, it's good to be back.  I'm no longer an east-coaster having moved to the GTA and that means I'll hopefully make it to Joecon this year!  See you all around!

Awesome news, man.  My wife fully supports giving me the basement of our house (when we get one...) but has always actively refused to let action figures into the bedroom.

Wellsir, I'm 18 figures shy of completing my vintage (1982-1994) Joe collection.

If anybody can help me out, please send me a PM.  I'm looking for loose figures, complete if possible, but I will buy carded if you're willing to sell for $25 CAD or less.  I'm just gonna open them all anyway.  :D

I would also prefer to deal in Canadian funds, but it's no big deal to do deals in USD either.

My ebay username is squishyduck if you want to check my feedback rating, etc.

General Joe Talk / Storing Your Joes
« on: October 13, 2005, 03:29:44 PM »
Some day when I get an actual digital camera, I'll show off my own display.  It's quite similar to Mike's in a lot of respects, in that the figures are open to the air on loose display, standing on pressboard shelves I bought (and a few I made from raw materials).

I've never stored figures in boxes, it's blasphemy!  I mean, would *you* store several hundred men with guns against their will?!

I also stopped at Strange Adventures as well. It wasn't a bad place, but the sales staff seemed a bit off. Other than that is was just your normal, run-of-the-mill comic shop with stuff piled to the ceiling. Really clean though, no cobwebs of nothing.

There's another Strange Adventures store in Fredericton, here in NB.  It's much smaller, but it's carried the GI Joe DVDs/VHS tapes before.  Also worthy of note if you ever get to Moncton is Gamezilla.  They had the MASS Device DVDw/Snake Eyes at one point.  Oh, if only I'd had the money before it was sold!!   :(

Hrm, next time I'm in the Halifax area I should look this guy up.  Anybody know if he's willing to ship orders to people who can't make it NS-way?

A dio shoot would be fantastic!

I've never customized a figure before, but maybe I could whip something together for this.  It is a special event after all...
