Thanks guys, we haven't been able to get the wii u to work on the wifi yet though :)  He's missing a lot of school, just feels lousy all the time.  He's 10 now.  Thanks.

Guys, Sorry I didn't respond sooner.  Thanks to all of you for responding, my son and I just read them all.  I asked the doctor about the new procedure and he said right now the part that goes inside was too big, so the new procedure isn't really an option right now.  The procedure is scheduled for June 10th.  Let me say, your words meant a lot to us.  Latinjoe, you gave us a good laugh with your candy story! :)  Pdaat, he is mostly into video games, bought a wii u today in fact.  We are trusting God, grateful to Him for all He's done and doing, and want to do the job He has for us.

Thanks to every person that took the time to respond on here, I really appreciate it.  Thanks for the effort that took, and propergrounds thanks for the personal story.  Thank you especially to those who have prayed for him.

My son wanted me to say "keep praying for me."

I told my son I wrote about him to you guys, he asked me if there were any responses.  So, feel free to respond guys, might mean something to him.

Hey guys,

Yesterday my son Christian and I were at Epcot Disney (Florida) and in the Canada section of the park they've got that 360 degree movie theater.   Any of you guys seen this?  The movie's name was "O Canada" I think, pretty cool with the movie screens all the way around the room.  It was hosted/narrated by Martin Short who apparently was born in Hamilton (reminded me of you guys).  It showed some other actors from Canada like Michael J Fox and William Shatner (didn't know that).

Any of you guys seen this?

Speaking of my son, you guys may remember he was the one conked out asleep on the floor at the 2010 con while I was digging in Nova's accessory bins!  Mike took a picture and included it in the newsletter.  He has been recently diagnosed with a life threatening heart condition, we are praying for a miracle and asking God to lead us in making the right decisions.  The doctors are wanting to put in a difibulator.  I read that there was a new procedure done in Canada that seemed better (less invasive).  Anybody know anything about this?

Customs / Re: Paint? What kind to use?

If we're talking about painting 25th/modern joes, model master acryl is the way to go.  Tamiya also makes a good paint and I've heard citadel works.  Except for two bottles of tamiya, I have only used model master acryl by testors.  The old model paints and enamels are supposed to have issues with never drying as I understand it.

Merry Christmas to you guys!

I recently learned a lot about Christmas in short (a minute or two) youtube videos that were entertaining, "the 12 questions of Christmas."  Like, why does santa wear a red suit with a pointy hat? or how did the gifts in stockings thing start? and what is Hannukah?  and why do we put trees in our living rooms?

Here's the first one: 12 Questions of Christmas #01

Sweet man, I know that was fun.  I've been looking at those stardusters on ebay myself, maybe somebody will trade me one for my carded footloose or something.

Let me ask you guys a question, was there a special joedeclassified issue for this con?  If so, can anybody help me out with one?

I've got a question.  One of the things that I really liked about the 2009 set was the quality foam insert inside the box.  The 2010 set had the white styrofoam.  Not sure about the 2011.  Does this one have the almost rubbery foam like the 2009?  Also, in what ways are the filecards for black ice and joecanuck different from the earlier ones?

Chrome is always nice.  I dig chrome!  The box looks nice.  Hadn't heard anyone mention it, but it was an interesting turn to see joecanuck is a black guy, for some reason that was a surprise for me, not that it's a bad thing, the Lord made us all so there's no room for rascism.  The black ice is the highlight for me, great head sculpt!
