Looks cool, but not really GI Joe....

They have done a 12" Firefighter in the past, and it actually looks a lot like this one.   So I would say it has history in the brand.

When it rains it pours - making me poor.  So last week it was Road Pig, Retro Trooper and the walmart 2 pack.  This week I have IG Bat, Alpine and Storm Shadow V2 waiting for me to pick up, another $120 out the door.

Just wait until you see what they just revealed at NYCC.

Just finished watching a livestream of the Hasbro panel.

Classified is going to kill our wallets in 2025.

Digital renders:  Footloose, Trench Viper w/Cobra Battle Station (think of the old Battle Bunker but updated and modular so you can combine multiple into a large base), 60th Anniversary Firefighter and Snake Eyes w/Polar Bear (part of the M.A.S.S. program they are doing).   The Polar Bear is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Then the next preorders are the next Retro wave (Rock & Roll, Dr. Mindbender and Viper)

Name only reveals:  Darklon, Snake Eyes V4 and Crystal Ball

What's worse is they announced production shifts have made it so product will be delayed for Classified in 2025.   That makes me think we are going to see a repeat of 2023 where we had an absolute tsunami of product hit retail in the final quarter of 2023.   I guess the only good thing is we know ahead of time and hopefully I can plan out my spending to be ready for that next year.

The extra heads did nothing for me.  The open mouth reminds me of Sloth from the goonies - "Hey you guys" and I originally thought the boars head was a mask, and not a separate head.  I would agree the updated boars head hammer was an interesting addition/update to the original figure.
I am on the fence if I want the Classified line to simply be up-sized versions of the ARAH figures, or do I want modern takes on those classic characters.  I think I am happiest when they fall somewhere in between.

Don't worry Hasbro will probably do a Retro release to make us double dip for a more classic ARAH look.

Road Pig as a figure is great - didn't need any of the accessories other than the cinder block on a stick, I feel like the heavier price tag was for all of the extras that are going into a box to never be seen again.
Monkey Wrench and Thrasher - where are you?

Really?   I think Road Pig is one of those rare releases where the crap ton of accessories  is a good thing.   I also like the new boar's head hammer much better than the cinder block.   I know the cinder block is classic, but the new one just outshines it in my opinion.   As much as I want to like the pig skin mask I don't.   I feel it is too "Mad Max" for the line and Road Pig.   The Dreadnoks are bikers, not post apocalyptic horror wannabes.

I was tempted to get a few more of them (Eels/Snow Serpents) but I have been over spending on toys the past month+.   So I had to be responsible and stuck to what I am missing from the collection right now.   So I snagged Night Creeper and Jinx (along with the Marvel Legends Cabal 3-pack).    I already have Doc and Torch.   So I am now just needing Road Pig, Raptor and the newest 60th figures (HALO and Marine?).   Then I am all caught up on what is currently released.    Then I can focus on the Alpine/IG wave next (though I do have the IG and IG BAT on preorder).   Oh and I need Retro Stalker as well.

This line looks great!

I love the detailing and accessories, along with the story and most of the character designs.   I just wish I had the funds to dive into this line.   I can't wait to see how the Russian Hind (helicopter) they are planning to do looks.

I preordered the twins. They look... different than the vintage ones, I hope my opinion will change in hand.

They look great, but I'm none too pleased about the BBTS exclusivity.   I'll wait and see if they go on sale down the road.  If not I'll be ok with missing out on them.

I ordered the first wave of 4 from Super7. CC is the best one IMO.

Can't wait to see who will be in wave 2. I'm hoping for Raven, Shooter, Lady J, Scarlett, ...

Beside the Baroness, I always thought female characters were not well made by Hasbro.

You might get one of those choices in the next wave, but after they had to cancel the all female Ultimates wave earlier this year it is not likely we'll see an all female wave again.   Also it seems that they are confined to the cartoon and comics so if they ever did a Shooter it would probably be the male version.

I'm not sure what the next wave will be, but I'm sure we'll see a cartoon accurate BAT sooner rather than later.

Also how are the figures themselves in regards to quality and build?   The few reviews I have seen seem to point to a number of small issues.

Got my "confirm your address" email for the Dragonfly!  Should arrive before the end of the year - fingers crossed.

Same here.

Although I think most backers could see the Dragonfly before December.   Going on what happened before stock usually ships out pretty fast after the deadline to update your shipping address.   Some of the backers could see the Dragonfly before Halloween.   Most could probably see it before December.    In any case most should see it before the end of the year.

So some early sightings, with pics, are popping up online for the new ReAction + figures (O-Ring).

The first wave was found at a couple Target stores in the US.   Have to say I am not quite as enthused as I was when this was announced.  Mostly because it looks like they won't be touching the original figures, but instead sticking to comic/animation based looks or versions that were never done before.

So while that will be great for characters that have never had a figure before, it also means we likely won't get updates to original figures that Hasbro won't touch with their Transformer x GI Joe line.

Oh and the price was confirmed to be $20.49US (+tax) so I imagine if anywhere carries them up here it will be $25+

Overall I liked the comic "blue" BAT with the alternate head.  I think it is great that both arms can exchange pieces for weapons or hands.   However that version isn't one I will go out of my way to get.   If they do a show accurate version like their Ultimates version then I am down for that.

Cover Girl with long blonde hair is great, and a smart alternate look.   Definitely worth picking up, but they need to do another Wolverine to go with her.

Snake Eyes is not a look I am interested in picking up.   I would have preferred animation accurate colours as the first option.   This one blends too many different looks for my taste.

Cobra Commander looks good, but I am a bit burnt out on CC right now.   Maybe in a couple months I'll be more inclined to consider him.

No sign of the twins yet.

Been away for a few days so a quick catch up.

Pulsecon was another bust for the Joe team.   Not in the product, but like with, I want to say the last Pulsecon when they went last.   They got rushed through and we had to see the new digital renders after the fact on social media.   It was great seeing the next wave, and the guys playing the game (obviously having fun).   However a bit more time, or better flow, to get to everything would have been nice.

I will say it was interesting to hear about the "search for the MASS Device" as the name only reveal.   Popular speculation is that it will be the next store exclusive theme.  Possibly Target since Walmart got NF last time.

WOW!

28,096 backers as the final total.

Incredible.   I didn't think it would go that high.  Glad to see it end so well.

So........what's next?
