Title: Old question: which 3 3/4 figure is your favorite in the GI Joe line

Since 1982 Hasbro made a whole bunch of GIJoe action figures.
Some were hot and some were not.
To this day, which one is your favorite?

For a long time (until I saw it in the comic), I thought that it was actually his head that was silver, but the degree of coolness to Destro still hasn't changed for me. My favorite character for sure!

He had the coolest uniform and accessories I had ever seen so I bought him ever though I was in college at the time. Thus began a long and expensive journey that continues to this day. (sigh)
But I'd have to go with Snake Eyes (v 2) as my all-time favorite figure.

i can't narrow it down. Flint and Footloose were the first two i got*. and i loved Flint in the UK comics, he was so badass and not the cocky snot the US version was.

Snake Eyes v2 however is my favourite version of one of my favourite characters...

then there's Airtight. for some reason i really loved that figure as a kid.

and then we've got Ace, who flies my favourite vehicle, the Skystriker....

and on the Cobra side, the Crimson Guard is just fragging cool as ice...

but, since buying them, i've grown to love the v1 Alley and Night Vipers...

*not including the O-ring articulated AF figures or the Grunt figure who was a mail-away in AF series 3 and i got instead of the Commander figure i applied for, because i applied at the end of the Commander offer and got Grunt instead, and he was supposed to be a generic AF infantryman... i never even knew who he was until i got on the net, as he was sent in a bag, with no bio card or anything and for whatever reason, i never bought any of AF S3 as a kid.

Post by: joss789 on August 11, 2010, 04:15:55 PM: V1 Viper. I don't know why but in all wars i did, he never died. For me, he was more a caracter like Mercer. He leaves Cobra army and join Gijoe....but always keep his Cobra outfit.

Post by: Metro on August 11, 2010, 08:45:25 PM: Kinda hard to narrow it down from all the great figures for me. Although Beach Head is my favorite character, his V1 figure could have been a bit better imo.

Alley Viper V1 and Snake Eyes V3 were hands down my favorites I had when I was a kid as I didn't really start into Joes until the tail end of 86 and the new 87 figures were hitting. It's kind of funny there in that my most sought after figure back then was Sci Fi V1 was also the first figure I bought when I got back into collecting too.

To pick one as my absolute favorite, I'm going to say Alley Viper though. Not only a great sculpt and great accessories, but after seeing Operation Dragonfire as a kid there was only 1 Alley Viper and he was a bada$$.

I already answered that question (w. Night Viper) but my childhood favorite was Blaster.. ??? Why? don't know.. probably the atomic green battle suit or the removable mask or the transatmosphericneutralizingpowerblaster weapon he was carrying.. ................he was THE man!

Post by: olyeller01 on August 27, 2010, 08:48:37 PM: My favorite fig as a kid was my Steel Brigade (silver head) figure, because he was supposed to be ME. I loved the fig, I loved the backpack, and I loved his M16/M203 combo with bayonet. That was probably my favorite Joe gun when I was a kid.
