You will hate Marlon Wayans after watching it. Even if you liked him before, you won't after.

No kidding. I was indifferent to him beforehand, but now, I don't think I hate any other person in Hollywood quite as much as Marlon Wayans (with the the possible exceptions of Stuart Beattie, Steven Sommers and Lorenzo de Bonaventura).
 

Rachel Nichols is smoking hot, but needed more character development.

Basically, it seems like her part was more "token object of desire for Marlon Wayans" than "Shana 'Scarlett' O'Hara". I mean, apart from shoot random Vipers what exactly did she do but serve as an enabler to Wayans' character?

I read a review in the news paper that Marlon Waynes Ripcord character is reminiscent of Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars.  How fitting.

Thanks for the photos. I'm really looking forward to seeing this Snake Eyes now, even more than I was before. I mean, I thought from the moment I saw him with that trenchcoat that he was going to be one insanely cool figure, but the blank design of the mask and visor really puts the icing on the cake, and I think this is going to be my default Snake Eyes.

I may have to find Hawk on ebay because I'm not interested in the HQ play set.

That's not the Hawk that comes with the Pit playset. He's got a black leather jacket.

The GI Joe line has so many cool vehicles (like Flight pod, SNAKE, VAMP, AWE, APC, HISS, FIrebats and many many more!) do it really needs James Bond's mini Caravan with hidden missiles and other gadgets?

I'd have to say "yes". A seemingly ordinary Hummer H2 is a much more appropriate choice for the modern global arms dealer going about his business in a major urban centre than a Cobra RAGE street tank.

Besides, we've seen that an aircraft clearly based on the old Night Raven is going to feature in the film, so it's not like they're completely ignoring what's gone before, though, then again, some of those designs haven't really aged well either, particularly the SNAKE, which is essentially the same thing as the movie's "Robocop" armour you so dislike, only confined to the limits of what could be extrapolated from 1980s-era technology and obviously obsolescent in a post-millenial setting.

The movie we will see and nothing related to the core GI Joe line that has made is success between 1982 and 1987, and so far far away from the GI Joe in the 60s and 70s.

Nonsense. Everything we've seen thus far indicates that this film hews closely to the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero core concept of military fantasy set "15 minutes into the future" with things like weaponized nanites, liquid reactive armour and powered exoskeletons. Heck, they've even got Cobra attacking the Eiffel Tower like in the original Sunbow M.A.S.S. Device mini-series.
