Quick update tonight. Also on the AK, it looks like the white AK came out both in the US and Canada. And from the report it is a different shade of white than the accessory pack AK.

I really like the idea of rotating a display. It keeps things fresh, you get to look at new items whenever you want, and you don't get stuck with static displays that get stale way too quickly. I think Raptor's idea is a good one. Find a niche where you can throw up some shelves and "rotate your stock". Seems sound and feasible.

Well, time for an update/ status report.

The actual update is fairly small for reasons I'll get to in the report portion. So first, here's what's new:

Figures:

1986 Serpentor - updated with his snake variations. Pretty cool, check em out - and the colors have bigger pictures linked to them.

Ok, that's all for the updates... now for the status. The watermark removal and replacement is going well. Just about all figures from 1982 to 1998 have been updated with the new marks. The few that remain require some additional work that I just haven't had the chance to do yet. The vehicles are still done at random since they have so many more images on the average so I'll get to them as time allows.

Also, started working on a new update to the site pages that will make indentification easier. Currently you can head to the Vehicle area and scroll through the years and see what came out when. What I've started working on is having each year also broken down into thumbnail portions so that you can pick a year (or you can view all vehicles released to date - this will be very image intensive, thus SLOW on dial-up and it's not "live" on the site yet though the page exists) and check out the thumbnails of each vehicle/battlestation etc... that came out in that year. 1987 has the most completed items so you can see how it will work by following that link, or you can just click around and see where the progress is.

The same will be done with the figures but that will have to wait a few days as it's more time intensive to setup than the vehicles which have a third the amount of items that the figures do.

Other than that, things are going well and fairly quickly. Thankfully the watermark updates are winding down so I'll be able to get back to more content additions. Have much more to come...

I'm impressed with the new watermarking. It's there, but so subtle it doesn't take away from the image. Good work on that.

Thanks... redoing all the watermarks has slowed up the updating big time (have the 04 con figure pictures taken but need the time to edit and all) but I think the new watermark is well worth the effort. Just looks a lot better. The figures will all be updated through 1990 (maybe through 1992 too, not sure how many I have for 91 and 92 done so far) by tomorrow.

This reminds me of something.  I am working on send in some material to Jon this weekend.  I even got the variant snakes for Serpentor to add.

Do you have the green one? I have all of them except the green one (stupidly passed up a parts lot I spotted one in because I didn't need/want the parts). Been waiting on that one to update Serpy's page.
