Customs / Re: Nighthawk's modern updates on vintage Joe ARAH figures

Well, while I work your work is Genius piece of engineering in general, I'll concentrate my feedback on two of my all-time favorite characters that you just did there: LightFoot and Skystriker. Those guys are wicked! Unless you are happy with LightFoot, I'd suggest you break alittle from the old school replicating, and just give it a black neckpiece. His head will apear to be less floating.

Also, I don't know If you remember that I once did a moderna era tooling on a ROC figure to create Thunder. I took the driver of the panther, sorry can't remember his name, did like you, grabbed an accessory pack headset to Breaker and added the silencer tips of Mutt and Junkyard on each side. And it did a decent job. Anyway I'm sure you could come up with something interesting. You could try finding some nice hardplastic lego antennas that you could use.

All in all good job! I want to see more done on my personal faves if ever you revisit them, so I'll be on the lookout :-)

The one good thing to say, if Grunt4mvp's departure post appeared pointless to me at the beginning, it now repurposed itself in bringing in some more interesting replies and way more good topics on the boards that I haven't seen in a longtime. It even brought back good ol' Canprime to deliver some great topic discussions about the probable 6inch Black series coming our way. We have a saying in South America: every time someone departs, there's a new arrival or a revival. I'd like to believe we are witnessing a small revival :-) (<temporary emoticon. If you don't like it, please adress your complaint to the moderators and support my very selfish driven cause, this I command pretty please! LOL)

General Joe Talk / Re: Canadian Joe Etailers?
« on: January 09, 2015, 11:25:31 PM »
With the CAD loosing value compared to his US counterpart, it's too bad seeing Canadian eTailers closing. Eh guys, this is a great opportunity for a re-open...

Hal, Mike, Jody, etc.

BHT still has an online store, even though It doesn't represent its physical store's full inventory. It still is an online store. Unless you are talking about another Mike that is, then I stand corrected (non operational smiley emoticon inserted here LOL).

I have the same feeling. One thing that I don't like here anymore is the fact that we can't edit our post. That makes our Want/Sale/Trade lists hard to keep up-to-date.

I found the setting that was disabling post edits. Try changing one of your old posts now.

Oh man, you made my day!!!! You are a genius!!! Next time I see you, I will kiss you  :-X

Run Jon S.!!!!! RUN my boyeeeee!!!! LOL

While I can understand the emotion, pun intended, the Emoticons are still not working....So If I kiss you too, will you fix it for me Jon S? (Joking emoticon) LOL

Hmmm, that's an interesting topic. Thanks Canprime! I'd say these would be my logical choice of 4 characters they'd put in the first wave of an 8 figure case:

-Snake Eyes v1 w/ Timber this time and his mass device component. 2 per case because he's popular with the kids and he's a bad ass commando.
-Duke (Can't have a joe platoon starting without its 'Man of Action' now can we? Interchangeable heads: regular and prisonner as seen in the Mass device ) 1 per case.
-Cobra Commander (Face it. If you're going to put the Man of Action into the mix, might as well have the evil Cobra Ruler. he would come w/ a "world-class domination" Staff, mind controling device, cape, and interchangeable heads: 'face plate' and 'hooded mask') 1 per case, and they would get his sculpt right even if he's not cartoon accurate.
-Cobra Soldier (just because, you can't have a basic Cobra army without him. Would come w/ at least two interchangeable heads, at least one caucasian and one afro american, in two variant packages at least, each displaying one of the two heads on the figure ) 4 per case.

EDIT: Yay Babey! The Edit button is back Under Jon S. and Pete's ownership, they rock!!!!!!! Now, If I could only get my emoticons back, I'm a very emotional man you know. :-)

Quebec / 2015 MONTREAL RETRO EXPO (1st Edition) February 8th
« on: November 29, 2014, 02:37:25 PM »
Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that a good friend of mine is putting together a new event: the RETRO EXPO MONTREAL, for action figures, toys, collectibles, video games, comics, etc. It's going to be held on February 8th at the Ruby Foo's, at less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Namur METRO subway station.

General admission is only 2 bucks per person, and free for kids Under 10 yrs of age.

This is highly anticipated event made for the fans and by the fans, the very first expo of this kind in Montreal in a series that I hope will continue for many years to come. I'm happy to say that I'm proud to be a part of this, since I know the organizer and I know his strong background experience with doing events like this, and how genuinely committed he is to both dealers and attendees.

There is a 4hour parking for attendees, but why park when you can just take the subway you will tell me of course, LOL! And unlimited free parking for dealers.

For more information or if you're interested in getting a table, go to this webpage: http://gamerscanada.com/retroexpo/retro.htm

Feel free to check it out, and I hope to see some of you over there as well!
