V1 Viper.  I don't know why but in all wars i did, he never died.  For me, he was more a caracter like Mercer.  He leaves Cobra army and join Gijoe....but always keep his Cobra outfit.

I like a lot Airborne (1983) and Shockwave (1988)... but my best is Outback (1987)... and maybe more its Night force version (1988) ;D

Kinda hard to narrow it down from all the great figures for me.  Although Beach Head is my favorite character, his V1 figure could have been a bit better imo.

Alley Viper V1 and Snake Eyes V3 were hands down my favorites I had when I was a kid as I didn't really start into Joes until the tail end of 86 and the new 87 figures were hitting.  It's kind of funny there in that my most sought after figure back then was Sci Fi V1 was also the first figure I bought when I got back into collecting too.

To pick one as my absolute favorite, I'm going to say Alley Viper though.  Not only a great sculpt and great accessories, but after seeing Operation Dragonfire as a kid there was only 1 Alley Viper and he was a bada$$.

My favorite fig as a kid was my Steel Brigade (silver head) figure, because he was supposed to be ME.  I loved the fig, I loved the backpack, and I loved his M16/M203 combo with bayonet.  That was probably my favorite Joe gun when I was a kid.
