[The Baron]

Hi folks,

Many of you may already know of this project, some of you have been a part of it, so I thought it was time to post an update.  I run the Action Force fansite BloodForTheBaron! and for those who don't know, Action Force was the European version of GI Joe in the 1980's and 1990's.  There was a promotional comic strip that ran in the pages of Battle Picture Weekly, which I have scanned and have hosted on my site.

Since february 2007 we have been colouring these classic strips and releasing them as weekly chapters.  Every week I post the new release on sixteen GI Joe related forums along with contact details for the relevant colourists.  I also update the site archives at the same time.

I have put together printed editions of the work, available to buy through the website.  Three are currently available and volume four is imminent - there are ten volumes planned in all.  As this is a licensed property the project is done strictly as a non-profit venture, but Hasbro and the original creators of Battle are fully aware of our works and have raised no objections.

Thanks, I especially enjoyed the datafiles, easy way to get up to speed on the characters, made me want to do some custom teams.  Maybe the future con exclusives will do some of these teams in modern articulation.

Fingers crossed!  We had SAF Hawk and Blades in 2009 and The Red Shadows, Z Force and Q Force sets in 2010.  That just leaves Space Force!

I really like that argen 7 comic, any info on when it will be available in print?  How about that mini series?

Things will start up again in February ! Had a problem with the printers we were working with. Had to switch, but things should be good now

Issues/covers, will be limited to 500 each so they will be quite a limited/exclusive item

Look for updates on that, on the BFTB forums in the Red Dawn/rising Sun Comics section of the forums, covers for issues 1-3 ,Both A and B versions are posted

I just checked out the whole deal.  All three threads on issues 1 through 3 and man am I blown away!  I definatley want these, covers a and b.  I hope printing costs don't make these too expensive.  Rock on, man!
